Full Description & Details

My wife and I just returned home from a walk in the north part of Phoenix. As we were heading towards the west we looked in a SW direction and saw 4 hovering bright lights approximately 10-15 miles away. They scintiallated and maintained a close distance from each other for a couple of minutes and then seemed to form 1 object. We saw another light move in from the SE at a slow rate and then totally disappear out of the sky before reaching the other lights.

Specifically, the lights were perfectly horizontal in nature and from our vantage point they were not spread very far apart. They had an orangeish glow to them and were much brighter than an airplane light. Furthermore, their apparent far distance would not have warranted lights of that magnitude by any airplane. We ruled out natural phenomena because they seemed too structured to be shooting stars, atmospheric events, etc.

Our walk took place near the Tatum/Jomax intersection of Phoenix. The lights appeared to be to the NW of South Mountain possibly in the area south of Glendale. We are totally confused by what we saw and hope to hear from other people that may have seen the same thing!

I have been doing some research tonight after the sighting and noted that what we saw is almost identical to the pictures taken by Lynne D. Kitei, M.D. and others from the "Phoenix Lights" experience. If you can confirm other people saw this tonight it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
