Full Description & Details

Single point of light (Indestinguishable from star), distance unkown. Moved in unusual way, (Outside of flight envelope of known human aircraft) for several minutes, then rapidly accelerated upwards/away.

The way it moved is what stuck with me. I know it's a pretty dodgey sighting report, and I wish I was a more disciplined as a child and took time details. I was looking through my bedroom window to the north, from my bed (I had just temporarily woken up or gone to bed) sometime in the early morning. I had no blinds, and I notcied a moving star. I thought it was a plane at first but it would move in all sorts of directions at varying accelerations, and come to a stop at times. It was fly-like, but not quite. After a few minutes it zoomed away upwards at incredible speed, there was no period of acceleration, just instant extreme speed and then disapeared. The whole time I was frozen with surprise. I did not tell people this until recently but it is why I believe in "UFO"s. (Whatever they are)

Even then I was, and am more so now, a flight enthusiast. No aircraft, helicopter, balloon or inanimate object known to me can act in that way. Even if I am mistaken about the bizzare manouevers it pulled, it's final act of instant acceleration is impossible for any craft imagined by modern science as far as I know. Meterites can do strange things, but not that strange.

Witness Background

At the time I was a young teenager/student or around 14.

Other Comments

My experience seems insignificant compared to others, but it's my only one and it was enough to convince me of UFO's. It hasn't, and I don't expect it to, convinced anyone else... but maybe it will help in the context of a larger survey such as this.
