There were other cars right before and behind me, none of them noticing. From the parallax view given by my motion, I estimate the object was hovering about 1 mile west of the north-south road, was about 50m tall, 35m wide. the parallax view let me know it wasn't an optical illusion, was indeed a solid and radially symmetrical object some distance away... but it disappeared in an instant after about 2 minutes.
