My family had a tradition of going to Port Aransas Texas, located about 30 miles north of Corpus Christi on Mustang Island, every year during summer break where we stayed at the same beach house. We did this every year from 1992 to 2000. The beach house was located approximately 150 yards from the shoreline of the Gulf of Mexico. It had a second-story balcony where we spent countless hours looking out towards the Gulf of Mexico. We would watch large ships coming into the Port and generally enjoy people watching and lounging on the balcony. The last summer that we spent there my brother and I witnessed something that we could not explain. It was approximately 12:30 a.m. in the morning and we were on the balcony looking out towards the Gulf of Mexico. At the exact same time, we both saw a unidentified flying objecto flying south down the beach line about 40 feet off of the ground traveling down the beach line. It seemed almost like a silent speeding black aircraft at first, but there were no lights and no sound and traveling very fast. We had seen Coast Guard helicopters flying during the day and night patrolling the beach, but this was traveling much faster and lower and without any sound at all. It traveled from the left to our right and we both looked at each other right after it left our sight and we couldn't believe what we had just seen. We couldn't explain it. I've never seen anything or experienced anything like that in my entire life. We hypothesized to each other that it was some type of military aircraft that had to have been top-secret since it made no sound and displayed no lights. It was truly a UFO. We had no idea what we had just witnessed.
