Full Description & Details

To me, it looked like a small aircraft, banking to the left (north), but with only one wing. It was extremely bright (bright enough to cause my husband and I to look up from our computers in fully lit rooms). The colour of the light was blue-white. It highlighted the craft as it banked to the north in a quick descent. It alarmed us enough to think an airplane was going down, only that it was missing a wing.

Other Comments

I'm not a big believer in UFOs (aliens, anyway). We do have a small aircraft airport not too far away - about 15 minutes from here. We also have an Internation Airport - 1/2 hour away. Military base, approx. 2 hours away.

That being said, I've been around aircraft and lived near various airports, attended airshows, etc., my entire life. Neither my husband nor I could explain what on earth that thing was.

We could have easily said it was an aircraft, but it didn't look like one when it was lit up. It didn't behave like one either.

Additionally, we did check at the time of the sighting with local news and airports. We checked again in the morning - there were no reports of missing, down or damaged aircraft, and there were no weather disturbances such as lightening (which is exactly what it looked like - an aircraft lit up by blue/white lightening).
