Full Description & Details

me and a friend spotted the object at 10.30pm on thursday 10-2-2005, we were around 3 miles south of caister in lincolnshire in england uk. at first i thought it was a bright star low down in the sky, but realised there was to much cloud cover albeit you could still faintly see them. the object was stationary just above the horizon due east from where i was standing, it then appeared to be getting brighter and i realised it was moving towards us. it then stopped above some farm buildings for a short time , this is when my friend spotted it. we both tracked it as it moved off south in a very odd manner. it appeared to be shimmering as it moved along. we both noted there was no sound coming from this object and we calcalated it was half a mile away when we looked at the map back at home. there was something else odd about the shape of it, it looked like from where we were it had a bright looking tenticle hanging down from it. as it moved south it then turned due west directly over a large radio tower. at this point it increased in speed considerably befor starting to flash red, then it just dissapeared behind the clouds, we waited around for a while to see if it would come back, but with no luck. i have thought long and hard about what we saw last night and have come to the conclusion that i know of no convensional aircraft that flies in that manner while making no noise whatso ever. many thanks and i have just become a believer!!!!!!!!!
