I am a 49 year old male. This is somthing that happened to me many years ago that I've never been able to forget. I grew up in the small farm community of Sedgwick, Ks. When I was around 12 or 13 years old I was walking home alone from a baseball game one summer night. At the time most of the roads in town weren't paved and there were not many street lights, the population was probably 3 or 4 hundred people. I lived in a dark part of town about 5 blocks from the baseball diamond. About half way home I was crossing a dark alley. As I looked up to my left I saw a colorless ball with a extremly bright light in the middle of it . The ball was about the size of a five gallon water bottle, but it was round. I'm guessing it was probably 30 feet away from me and floating 10 or 15 feet in the air when I first noticed it. As the ball came closer to me, I froze! It floated above my head and across the street. Straight down the alley ,as if it were being guided. The light was so bright I could hardly look at it. It also did not make a sound. I didn't have a clue what this was until I saw a story on the Alagash Four in Michigan. I don't beleve I was abducted but I'm sure it was the same thing I saw. I havn't seen anything like that since and I don't think we had that kind of technology in the middle sixty's. I also don't understand why somthing like that would come to the small town of Sedgwick, Kansas. This happen around 10:00 PM.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No way! I'm not familar with anything like that now.

I've been a aircraft mechanic most of my life. I've worked for Boeing, Learjet and Cessna. When I worked for Learjet I worked built the External Fuel Tank on the Space Schuttle. I have never had a criminal background.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

I didn't know anything about UFO's, except hearing people say ( Little Green Men From Mars). I beleve we are not the only one's in the universe. I've seen alot about UFO's on TV. Some I believe some I don't.

Other Comments

I don't like it when people fake photo's and sightings cause it takes away from the cretaiblity of those stories that are true.
