Relative sizes was about 4 or 5 inches. Actual size would have to be at least a fourth of a football field long.couldn't see width.

Description of Area / Surroundings

The surrounding area is: there is a two story building below the UFO. I was in a back yard about four feet from the deck. There is a main road that was almost dead quiet. wasn't much light at the moment. The moon wasn't visible. There is a hospital that has a helicopter pad but they weren't in town. There is an Air port that is quiet a bit a ways from where I am.

Very big. No visible body. Moved slowly across the sky. No blinking light no sound. Then it just vanished. It was visible for at least three miutes. The sky was a dirty brown. It had to have been at least a fourth of a football field long. Never changed direction. It just took of really quickly.

No I don't think it can I went through all possible reasons. None could explain what I saw. I called a woman that I know at a hospital and she said that there were helicopters flying around but there wasn't any sound.

The object was in the night sky, and by far I know that it was not a star or planet. It was lightly cloudy, so the shape of the object in the sky wasn't too impossible to make out. It seemed like a circular object, but I'm not overly sure. The object only seemed as if it was shaking, and barely moving what so ever. In fact, it just looked like it spectated the ground moving back and forth in the sky. It may of also rotated - the lights on it seemed to flicker white, red, orange, blue, and other tints of these colors.

At least as small as a 1MM all around. From where it would look like in a plane, an estimated guess of about 50ft wide by 30ft tall.

We live around openings and small clumps of trees, as well as a small rock wall. We also rarely had freezing rain, so icicles were not out that night to my knowledge. We live in a rural surrounding, about 1000 feet down the road is the junkyard and some farms. We also live around 500 feet across from the Walmart Distribution Center, and a Fed-Ex building close by our home. We also have a national guard station located down Alfred Plourde Parkway, which is not very far from the Walmart Distribution Center.

One night in February, as I recall it was a saturday night, the 25th, I was watching "Silence of the Lambs" on TV. I believe it was rerunning that night, so I decided to watch it. The time was around 2 AM, and the movie was barely into playing. I am rarely tired on Saturday nights, as well, so I was still wide awake before the sighting occured. I was laying in bed, a bit bored of being on the computer, but then suddenly, a very small, and very unnoticable flash went off in the sky - to be a little more descriptive, like someone took a picture high up in the sky, with a tiny flash. It instantaneously caught my eye, and I walked over to the window. I live in the basement, so I have a fairly good view of the outside. But something strange I noticed - the object that flashed was still in the sky, a hard to see object. I'm unsure whether or not it was triangular or a circular shape, but in my mind I saw it as a circular object. I watched the object move around - in fact, it didn't move around. It staggered around in the sky, almost like when you stick your finger out and it shakes. However, it was shaking at a very light rate. I closed up into the window to make absolutely sure it was no an icicle off a tree - but it couldn't be. It was in a small clearing of bare trees above the new WalMart distribution center in Lewiston, and I had complete ability to view it in all perspectives. I angled myself around the window, and I noticed absolutely no change - it still moved around. What made this stranger is that I knew it was NOT a plane, nor a helicopter. The object was closer, and farther away at points in time, but only small movements. It was fairly high in the sky I should say, at least a bit higher than what an airplane would fly in. Due to my window's blurriness, I couldn't make out what it was exactly doing. I had went to report this to another UFO site, checked back, and the object was still there. It was 2: 59 AM; by this time, I looked back outside, and the object appeared to be gone. What makes this strange is that it was completely gone from view. I did not see any flashing, or tickering of the light recessing from it. I also checked nearly 1 minute after viewing it the second time, and it was in what seemed like the same location. This was the last I saw of the object.

The issue is that I know of no stars out there. It was a cloudy/clear night, from where the object was, it was below the clouds. Animals and certain light bugs can't float this long, and planets do not dissipate from someone's view in 10 minutes. Along with man made objects, I rarely see satellites, airplanes, or blimps sitting in one spot for nearly 9 minutes, and then disappearing. It was also late night, meaning some man made objects would not of been out at around 3 AM.

I knew quite a bit beforehand - I learned a lot about UFOs from the History channel and I know about a few of the bigger events, such as the Phoenix Lights and Roswell incident. On occasion, I feel sometimes a bit paranoid of UFOs from abductions and events in time.

I realize some people would think this is a hoax, but I truly saw a UFO. I can't distress this message any further, and to my belief, considering this event to be false is almost constitution for nothing. I had taken my liberty of seeing my own UFO, this is the second one I've sighted. My first had been a similar triangular shaped UFO, that flew in the sky and headed off south. I allegedly know of events that have led up to this, and I know by far that whatever in the sky was not man-made, nor was it another object. I even get paranoid on the occasion, as said before, if I see one. Even after February 25th, I've looked out my window just to see if the UFO will ever come back.

Hi. I have witnessed this unexplainable happenings in Illinois in 1975. I lived in Granite City for 12 years. I now reside in Georgia. Strange happenings here too. In 1975, my brother, his girlfriend and I went around the block from where we lived. It was Winter and we went to iceskate on the field behind a Church. ( Maryville Road). The field had frozen over and we had until 10:00 p.m. to skate. When we got to the field it was quite and the sky was full of Snow clouds. But shortly after we arrived we noticed a brightness. We looked up and there were 3 white beams shining down. No sound was made but it covered a Huge area.. Couldn't see where the lights came from( spaceship?) but the lights were in a triangular shape shining through the clouds and there was a Red one present. The Clouds were too thick.. We watched and waited for 10 to 15 minutes... And it just vanished.. No sound of it was ever made.. In 1975 you didn't hear of anyone trying to find out what these sightings are.. you were considered Crazy if you talked about it... But I think it's Great now that We Want To Know.. and We're digging into it.. I would still like to know what it was that night... The sightings here in Georgia are different.. But I would like the Witnesses in Illinois to know that their not seeing things.. These sightings are REAL...!!!! Before witnessing that one.. I didn't really believe. I do now because I stll witness them in Georgia but not the same as Illinois.. and My daughter has witnessed them here also... i was working an insurance debit. i turned onto Fikes Ferry road and directly in front of me was below, about 4 to 10 miles away.

Object had seven lights in a circle. Larger light in the center.

I watched about ten minutes as it hovered in one place. The center light would brighten and smoke would rise from it when bright, then it would get dimmer. T the circle lights remained at a constant brightness.

after about ten minutes. I drove down the road to a customer and called them out to watch.

We all three watched about 20 minutes and the woman and I went inside to get her money.

A few minutes later,he came in and said it is gone. I asked him which way it went. He said it just disapeared.

what was strange was how slow it was moving for an after dark flying machine and no noise like an engine or pony motor running, we were close enough to have heard something definitely not a star or planet

A bright yellow object passed over Dublin city Ireland in oct. 1957 at about 7.30p.m.

I was kicking a peice of dry hard bread to my friend across the road outside my house

where I lived. On waiting for my friend to return same I noticed in the corner of my right

eye an object above.I was 13 years old at this time and knew this was not the moon

because it was in a position the moon would never be over Dublin.

On first look it was hovering no sound over me very high in the sky but under the clouds,

this I remember very well.

After about 3 or 4 sec. it started to move to the north west' and it was only then I called

my friend as I was in a world of my own enjoying my 3 or 4 sec. of somthing I must

have known was not normal.

My friend ran across the road to see it , but as it zig zaged quickly to the north west he

missed it. I then ran into my house to tell my parents who at the time were watching

B.B.C. t.v. Before I could tell them the whole story my mother said I had seen somthing

as the picture from t.v. went blank for some time at the same time u.f.o. was overhead.

This is a true story and would not tell a lie as it involed my mother and father who are

now dead.

(From Brief) I think it hovered over me because I saw it and was staring at it. It was forked shape, two pointy triangular prongs side to side like wings with another pointing forward, a ball shape in the middle tha glowed with a orange light. It was hovering about 100 feet. The 'wings' and 'cockpit' didn't look like it was connected to the ball thing even the it was in the middle of them. I saw some kind of exsaust coming from the back. I also have to mention that it was a cloudy day that day and it appeared to be right under the clouds as if hiding.

It was probably about 50 feet diameter. When it swearved over us, it was pretty close and pretty fast so I wasn't paying to much attention to it. I know for a fact that it was circular. I saw that much. It was extremely lit up and I don't know how tall it was. I didn't notice that. I was too shocked to pay very much attention to it. I think it was grey. Probably a steel or something shell.

Well, I was with a friend up at Storm King in Republic, Washington a couple of weeks ago and we heard a loud noise going by. We figured it was a airplane, but when we saw it, it was a big circular craft. It sort of kept going down and swooping back up and then it just flew off. When it went over us, it was probably no more than 100 feet above us. It was all too real. I could feel the huge rush of air and the loud noise hurt my eyes. It didn't sound like our normal jets. It had a sort of buzz to it. As soon as I looked back up it was already swooping into the air and we didn't see it after that. I thought I was seeing things, but when l turned to my friend, who was still on the ground, I could tell it really happened. We didn't say anything about it for a couple of weeks after that, but a couple of days of go I brought it up slightly to my friend. He didn't want to talk about it at first, but I convinced him that it was something important that we need to share our feelings about. So we got on the internet and found this site and decided to share with others what we've gone through and see what others have gone through. I'm really glad there's people out there that we can share our experience with. I never really believed in other civilizations off of earth and I even used to laugh about these sort of things when I heard about them. I thought they were just people that were trying to get attention. But now after my personal experience with my friend, I see that this is more than just a tale that people make up to get attention. My friend will submit his own about what he saw soon.

Looked like helicopter lights from far away. The closer it got the more it looked loke a oblong orb (kinda like a submarine shape or airplane with no wings. The split off objects looked almost spherical in nature.

I couldn't give a accurate relative size but the estimated actual size would be the sized of a standard cessna airplane. The split off objects would be 1/4 that size.

I was standing in my front yard and saw a strange orb of light in the distance (looked like a helicopter a couple of miles away). It caught me as strange becaude helicopters don't usually hover in that area so I watched it for a bit. After about 2 minutes the Orb split into 3 pieces (I actually didn't see the split as I looked away for 30 seconds or so). The next thing I know the pieces of the Orb were coming my way. When I realized this I was frightened because I didn't know what they were. I watched the balls of light fly toward eachother almost overhead. This is how I knew they were not conventional aircraft because no one in their right mind would fly toward eachother like that. The 3 pieces coverged into one and it shot off faster than any aircraft I have ever seen until out of sight. The odd part about this whole ordeal is the fact that I saw something so awesome and unusual that you would think that I would remember it right after it happened. I didn'r. I seem to have instantly forgotten about it until about 2 days later when it came back into my memory like a rush. I instantly remembered all parts of the sighting, something I seem to have just blanked on minutes after. Strange to say the least.

We have also seen "black" helicopters flying in the area with no markings or lights and emitting very little sound. The sometimes accompany strange "soundless" jets around the area.
