Appearance / Description of Object(s)

It was glowing orange like molten metal, disk shaped like 2 quarters stacked on top of each other but with no seam on the side. The sides of the craft had semi-spherical rivets in two rows that followed the edge of the craft. The rivets also glowed like molten metal but had a darker swirling quality to each one, like oil moved about slowly in water. The bottom of the craft had an irregular box shape in the middle with 4 tubes coming off of it to what appeared to be 4 rotors. The rotors spun but I could not distinguish an opening in the craft. The craft appeared solid and very heavy. If it had been made of molten metal it would have weighed thousands of tons. It's size and shape seemed to defy physics entirely. I could not imagine what forces could keep such a bulky craft suspended in the sky.

From my perspect the craft occupied at least the space of my arms outstretched at my sides and bent upwards at 90 degrees at my elbows. It almost filled my entire field of vision but left some space around the sides where I could see the night sky. I would say it was about 200 yards across the object. The edge of the craft was perhaps 2 stories tall, maybe more. I can't tell for sure though because I don't know how far it was from me, perhaps a hundred feet or so.

Suburban. Over a park in a Portland. There were houses all along the West and South of the park (which was roughly a square) and a school to the East of the park. There were horse pastures and a small woods to the North of the park.

I was very young and my mom needed to head to a PTA meeting for my school which was across a park to the East of where we lived. It was sometime in summer because the nights were still long. I asked my mom if I could go with her as far as the park and would play on the swings, etc. until she got back. Shortly after she departed I saw a large circular craft above the park. It filled the night sky. I believe it to be roughly the size of the park (if not bigger) which had a baseball diamond in the NE and a playground in the SE. Most of the rest of the park was grassy with trees in the SW. Anyway, the object was huge, glowing orange, with the appearance of swirling molten metal. It was circular and disk-shaped, not spherical. Picture 2 quarters stacked on top of each other with no seams on their edge. The side of the craft had many half-spherical protrusions which looked to me like rivets but were more likely windows or some sort of sensory aparatus. The craft appeared unimaginably heavy and wasn't what I would call aerodynamic. I was puzzled about it's appearance and looked at it as long as I could. I was still standing there looking at the night sky when my mom returned. I was startled that she had returned so soon and I asked her if her meeting had been cancelled. She said no, it went on for about and hour and she mentioned that she had gotten to speak with my teachers and had had some cookies or other sort of refreshments. She asked what I had been doing the whole time and I told her that I had been playing a bit on the swings, which is what I had done prior to my seeing the craft in the sky. Her leaving for the meeting and returning seemed only like a matter of minutes to me. I cannot account for roughly an hour during my sighting of the craft in the sky. I have seen other instances of what I would consider UFO's, stars stair-stepping in the sky then moving off rapidly at an angle, but nothing as detailed or as large as this. I heard reports of a burning weather balloon the following day on the news on the radio but they said that nothing of the balloon was found. What I saw could not have been mistaken by anyone for a weather balloon or anything else. I did remember the report of the balloon though because I associate it with my experience from the previous night.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Absolutely not. All of the qualities of it seemed contrary to what I would expect from an earthly craft. The only thing that would make it seem to function like anything I've seen before were the rotors. And I couldn't even imagine how those could support such a bulky craft without adversly affecting my surroundings. Not a breeze was stirred up by the craft even as large as it appeared to be.

I would say I knew little if anything about UFOs prior to my sighting. I had probably seen a few tv shows or movies about martians and outer space but nothing like what I saw.

Outside of the sighting itself the thing that puzzles me most is the duration. It appeared to only last minutes and when my mom returned from her meeting I was startled. I didn't expect her to return so soon and could only think she had come back immediately. When she said she had attended the whole meeting and then came back I couldn't figure how a few minutes on the swings plus a few minutes of watching the object would take up more than an hour. I have since then heard about abductions but I don't recall anything but standing there until she returned.

My brothers and I and the babysitter (I was 12 years old) was playing in the back yard it was late at night around 8:00pm (for Southerners) and all of a suden there was the most perfect circle of blue light above us next to our tree. We were all hypnotise by the blue light. I was walking towards the light until the babysitter pulled me back and we all went into the house. A few seconds later it was gone. I felt kinda dizzy and my eyes were not focus for a few minutes. My brothers eyes were only strained for a few minutes..We never told anyone because we were afraid, now that I'm 42 I don't feel so crazy..

It was circular in shape with very bright blue lights into the forest that lit up the entire forest, we could not see the color of the ufo because the lights where glowing. I know it never landed on ground becasue it hoovered over us blinding us, we had no photographic proof of this but it was no plane.

On Hwy 59, 1mile west of Atchison, KS. I was traveling to Atchison, Kansas going north-east and I look-up in the sky a little north I spotted a white circle. It was kind of transperant and it looked like a reflection of the moon. It all of a sudden started to fade. It looked as if a cloud was drifting in front of it and it went away. Then it appeared again and the same thing happened and it never return after that. The strange thing was that there was no clouds in the sky. It zoomed in and zoomed out, zoomed in and zoomed out, and disappear.

I saw an object that was shaped like a football. If I were to draw it, it would be a 15 degree ellipse running in the horizontal position. This object was very large and had flashing lights coming from every angle. It had the appearance of an immense amount of diamonds clustered together to form the above mentioned shape, like nothing I have ever seen before, brilliant, beautiful. At first I thought it was a blimp, but no blimp that I have ever seen in my life time that shinned in with such distinct brilliance. It was as if looking at the most brilliant diamond, or many, to many to count diamonds, you could possibly imagine throwing off so many different colors it was almost to amazing to even describe! I have never in my 46 years on this earth seen anything like it!

I was walking home with my dog and noticed very bright lights or what I thought was lights on top of the mountains south of me, this was about 7pm. The area is called the Cleveland National Forest, mountains in the area of the 241 toll road and the 91 fwy. You can see them from my backyard looking south southwest.

I got home and took out my binoculars because I wanted to try and see what was going on up there on top of the mountain. There had been fires up there just a few weeks ago, so I thought at first maybe it was night construction? But that did not seem right since it is very high and rugged terrain even for firefighters. When I looked through my binoculars I saw an object that was shaped like a football. If I were to draw it, it would be a 15 degree ellipse running in the horizontal position. I was so excited and not wanting to tell people about this and have them think I was nuts, that I ran to my neighbors house and had her look out her back yard at this object with her bare eyes and then through my binoculars. You could see the bright lights with the bare eye, but through the binoculars, you could see the actual form and the lights flashing from it. She was also extremely excited about this and saw the same thing I had seen, then it started to move she said. She had to leave her house for an appointment, so I went back home.

I observed this object for at least 15 minutes and then it just disappeared. I have never in my life seen anything like this and am not one to see flying objects and until now have not believed in such a thing. I am an Engineer by trade and consider myself to be a rational person. I wish I knew what I was looking at.

During the time I was looking at this through my binoculars, you could occasionally see what appeared to be other flying objects which I assumed were small airplanes or helicopters, they looked like little pin pricks compared to this object; it was extremely large in size and I have nothing to compare it with since it was night time and above a mountain ridge with no homes on it. Just guessing, I would say it was at least the length of a 747 airliner.

No, none that I have ever seen in my lifetime. I have worked in the Aerospace and Avionics Industry since 1977 and I have never seen anything like this.

Before tonight, I had mixed feelings about them. I would on occasion watch shows on TV such as on TLC and find it interesting and not out of the realm of possibility since I don't put limits on God. I have felt that most people you see who say they have seen UFOs are nut cases and yet you do hear of some credible people such as airline pilots, astronauts, etc., seeing things unexplainable and I found them to be credible. I have thought it was possible, but never really cared to give it much thought beyond that. After what I saw tonight, I think there are many possibilities, one of which there are experiments going on with our government that may explain this and the only other alternative I can find is that this was indeed from either outside our planet, or from another dimension. I am finding it very difficult to calm down after this and I’m not one to get excited about something I see in the sky! I have never been one to read about UFOs until tonight at which time I started looking for something on the internet to report this incident.

I'm very glad that my neighbor was home and could see this also, so I did not feel like I'm losing my mind, or some kind of blithering idiot seeing lights in the sky! it was at night. i was at my mothers house. i was in her back patio and it was inbetween 6:00 and 7:00 pm (about 30 min. to an hour after sundown). she lives on the west side of town along I-10 (houston). i was smoking a cigarette facing east and in the sky there was a silverish sphere traveling south. it had no lights which made me focus on it. airplanes (or any other aircraft in the sky) have lights, but this had none what so ever. it made no sound and it was moving fairly slow. it was not too high in the sky. at the distance i was at from it, i could only tell it was a silver shere, maybe egg-shaped. and again, no lights.

I saw an object in the sky and automatically dismissed it as an aircraft but after watching the item not move with multiple colors: Blue, red, green, yellow, orange and white and when it did desend it would turn orange to yellow stay in the current position for about a two minutes then arrise back to the original location it would display the multiple colors of blue, red, yellow, orange and white these motions happend for about half an hour, then with the object decended it would move to the right about 4" to the right (estimated) then it would elivate to a high point in the sky. Then every now and then the lights would stop (as far as I could see) for a split second. The last time I saw is was when it floated at the bottom displaying yellowish/white light and then the light started to weaken until the item was gone or no longer visable.

No, reason being is because when the item displayed all those multiple colors and they way it desended and arose doing the same motions repeatively

I had just finished having raunchy sex with my girlfriend on the kitchen table when i heard a dull thudding sound. It called to my horny bitch to see what it was but she didnt reply so i though she mut be in the toilt or something. I looked out of the window to see an object slowly getting closer and as it did o the soung increased in volume. It came fight over my house and only then i realsied that it was shaped like a big penis wth the bollocks and everything. I called out to my girlfriend to show her but she was standing transfixed looking at in awe like i was. It suddenly sped off leaving behind white smoke which was billowing out of the end. It looked like a round ball of fire.....a burnt orange color. It was bright and very noticeable over the radio tower. But not like a brightness that lit up the whole sky or anything. It was circular, but not like a perfect circle. the edges seemed irregular, i guess thats why i say it was like a ball of fire. I remember distinctly how blue the sky was behind the orange ball. And how there was no reflection from the sun or some kind of electrical fire on the radio tower.

Ok, its been 22 years but I believe the relative size, between my hands was 15 to 18 inches apart. For the actual size, the ball was at least as wide or wider than the radio tower. I'm guesstimating that it was 50-60 ft tall.....one big circle.

I was with a girlfriend heading over to pick up friends for dinner. We drove down Somerset

Drive west to Mission Road. This is a busy area and road, with lots of traffic, businesses, and residential areas. On the northeast corner of this intersection is one of those large, tall radio towers. I remember the very blue sky overhead, no clouds and the sun was going down, but it was still light out.

For whatever reason, I looked up at the radio tower and noticed a round orange light above the tower. It was a large object, big enough where i could see it clearly from the street all the way above the tall tower. The orange color was like a burnt orange color...that has always stuck in my mind. I distinctly remember turning and looking towards the west towards the sun to see if it was shining off the tower or something like that. It wasn't shining that bright since it was low on the horizon. Both of us kept looking at the orange ball, both of us commenting that it wasn't moving, that it looked like it was just 10 feet above the tower. And we both agreed the sun wasn't shining and making a reflection of some sort.

We pulled over to the side of the road and kept watching and wondering what in the world is that? I thought maybe its a fire or something coming from the radio tower, but it just wasn't that.

We were running real late to pick up our friends for dinner so we had to move on, but we kept our eyes on the orange ball as we headed to the street where our friends lived...a couple blocks away. I could still see the orange ball thru the trees but as we got to our friends house we couldn't see it anymore due to the many tall trees lining the streets.

We rushed our friends from the house and I sped back over to the tower within a few minutes. We both excitedly talked of what we saw, but as we got there the orange ball was completely gone. It was bizarre. I have spent ...what...22 years now wondering what the heck it was.

Absolutely not anything natural. This thing was right over the tower. I checked the sun reflection, i checked for fire, it was something hovering in the clear blue sky right at the top of the tower. And then if was completely gone when i came back within 3-4 min.

I became a true believer after this. I never was interested or paid attention in UFO's until after this incident. My girlfriend then also was a skeptic about many things like UFO's, but she was as baffled and changed by what we saw too.

I became friends with a guy several years later. He was a police officer in Kansas City.

We got on the topic of UFO's and he told of his experience over a lake in Pomona, Kansas....Lake Pomona. He was fishing very early in the morning....3 am.....standing in his waders out in the water in a brushy area. He said a UFO came over the lake and it was as bright as if it was 12 noon. He hid in the bushes for a very long time before it went away. Hearing this story just really made me believe I saw something that wasn't from here.
