For relative size, it would probably have been about 1/2 inch to 1 inch. For actual size it looked to be at least 1/10th the size of the full moon.

My Girlfriend and her brother and his girlfriend and myself, (4 people in all), were out on a double-date and it was getting late, about 1:00 a.m. in the morning. We were out on a lonely country dirt road with hardly any traffic and there were open , fenced pastures on both sides of the road with very few trees around us. We had just pulled over to talk awhile about the country band we were in at the time and other things when all of a sudden, something caught my attention out of the corner of my eye and when I turned my head from the direction of my girlfriend to look through the windshield, I witnessed a round orange red ball or globe, which looked solid, rising up from below the horizon slowly and stopping right next to the full moon at about the lower left hand corner of the moon, which, itself was just above the horizon.

Judging from the distance it seemed to be from the moon and from the earth, this thing must have been gigantic in size, a mother-ship, if you will. If it was truly next to the moon, it looked to be at least 1/10th the size of the moon.

I regret that we did not have a camera with us that night, but there were 4 of us that all agreed that we each saw the same identical thing that night. (No Alcohol was involved).

We all 4 agreed to this: This object did not come from this planet with our limited technologies. We could not make anything that tremendous in size and then break it loose from the earth's gravitational pull ! Uless we had some kind of anti-gravity device on board.

I just sort of thought of them as maybe the government might be experimenting with new types of aircraft or something of that nature. I just read a little about them and also visited the u.f.o. museum in Roswell, New Mexico.

I was outside reading,when I saw a strange silver object in the sky.I thought it might be an airplane so I ran inside,grabbed my trusty binoculars and my Aircraft Identification Book,I am an aircraft enthusiast,and looked at the object while thumbing through my Aircraft Identifcation Book to see if it was in there.To my surprise,I noticed that the craft was at the same hight as a few jetliners I have observed that left behind contrails.This craft did not,indeed,it was going verrrry slowwwwly and making no sharp manuvers.I also noticed that the craft had a circular,disk-type,shape and it did not make a sound.Then I saw a triangular shaped object following the disk.A neighbor came down to drop off a package for my parents,so I pointed out the craft to them.They were also perplexed at the objects.They left and I observed the objects for about 10 to 15 minutes more and then they were out of sight.

No,because I know the shapes of fighter planes and commercial planes,and these objects didn't look a thing like them

Hard to say with the light conditions. It was not the usual disc shape, more sharp sides. (again, I keep wanting say cubed shaped). The light following closely to the object was about the same size as the brightest star in the night sky

I was working the graveyard shift at work with a fellow collegue. At approx 3 am, we both went for a smoke break when I happened to notice a shape (object) in the corner of my eye. Of course, it was dark but the object was quite low to the horizon (below the clouds) It was moving very rapidly. I couldnt make out the exact shape, but it was deffinately a "solid" object. (It looked almost cubed shaped but I cant be sure) The most unusual thing was the strange "light" that "buzzed" around the solid object. The light seemed to jump from one point to another in the blink of an eye but always staying very close to the solid object. There was NO noise what-so-ever and it took approx 15 sec from my first sight to the object getting to far away to see.

Of course, both me and my friend looked at each other and said "did you see that or was I imagining it"!!

Needless to say we were the laughing stock at work the next day but we both know what we witnessed!!

It makes me chuckle to think that if there was intelligent life looking down on us two at the same time they would have seen two shocked men with ciggarettes hanging from our bottom lip looking dumbstruck!! "No intelligent life here" they will say!!!

The shape of these objects may have been distorted by the speed they were traveling my wife and I both wittnessed these sightings we were approximately 1000 yrds. to the north and slightly west they flew behind Mt. Vernon peak which is approximately 1200 ft. off the valley floor that is 3000 ft. above sea level in eastern Oregon we are 5 hrs. east of Portland Or. and 3 hrs. west of Boise Idaho on Hwy.26

I have seen 6 unexplainable sightings and in 2002 we had something pass over our house at a very low rate of speed it woke me up at 00:02 Dec.12th and didn't see what was making the sound I describe as a loud crack followed by a sweeping ,whriling ,circular sound then repeted from the time I set up in bed listening until I went to see 15to 20 sec. duration our dog was barking at it and followed until I heard neither additional 30 sec. in all truth I was little shook up didn't sleep the rest of that morning I leave for work at 04:30 I heard later that the guard at our mill had told see had seen a strange falling star that same night when I talked to her she said (it took forever to fall kinda drifted down) our mill facility is 8 miles from my home where I heard this sound I belive was a U.F.O

My father and I were coon hunting which was popular at that time and place. It was at night approximately three miles east of Dunbar, VA. We were walking along the railroad tracks and down from this mountain came several balls of different colored lights with a little red one bringing up the rear. They were all round and going from large to small with the large ones in the front leading the way. They had no source that I could acertain. It seemed that they were their own source of light. They were not three dimensional and did not travel in a straight line. They moved down the mountain, then down the river and back up the other mountain. They made no sound. Whoever came up with those lights in that movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind must have seen the same thing before. It was exactly like that. Very strange and I've pondered on that often but can come up with no explanation.

I have always been a skeptic, at least in the sense that they are extraterrestial in orgin, owing to the distance factor and the exact speed of light. That makes it kinda difficult to think that they could have come from another solar system. The best I can come up with is that maybe it's something from another dimension but I have trouble even conceiving anything like that. All I know is that I DID see them and I cannnot explain it.

Account of the Sighting - I was walking my dog late at night in June cannot remeber exact date. I was walking toward the entrance of my street when i saw in a south direction a Light Ball coming toward me it was far away from my location I looked at it and thought it was just a helicopter because we do sometimes get many helicopters in my area I did not take much notice of it. I then got to the entrance of my street the light was getting closer the motion of the light was very slow but i noticed something that ruled out the possibillity of it being a helicopter because there was no sound and its not normal for helicopters to be silent. I carried on going down my street and just looked on at the craft coming towards me i got to the house and the light was nearly to my location i put the dog in my house and looked up at the object at this time i knew i had to do something so i went inside very quickly and got my camera on the way to get my camera i alerted my parents and said there was a UFO i don't think they heard me i said it so quick. I rushed out and the light was above my house and as i took a picture the object blasted downwards and left a small light trail. I went back inside and my parents were still downstairs (my house has two floors but you enter the top floor first and then as you go in there are stairs going down). I asked my parents to come and take a look at my picture and were amazed at what was on the picture i have enclosed the picture of the light its a really good close up picture and you can really see what i saw was so strange.

Silver metallic in color, very shiny and disk shaped. When they didn't sway back and forth you could only see a thin dark outline that looked like a thin object in the distance. If you took a large piece of thick metal and threw it like a frisbee, that is pretty much how you can describe the object, thin when level and round when it was on its side. However, these objects didn't come down and flew in formation.

Approx. 40 feet in diameter and 5 to 7 feet high. About the size of a dime as it popped up on its side. Both were the same size.

Urban, populated. Nothing special here except a lot of cows and horses. Mountainous area, but the bitterroot is a large valley between two mountain ranges.

While driving home with a load on my truck on highway 93 going south from Stevensville about 3:50 p.m. I noticed something flashing in the sky and as I watched (while trying to stay on the road) I noticed two objects I thought were planes for a second moving East to West over the Bitterroot Valley near Bear Creek (Victor area) until a second later they both swayed back and forth and the following disk popped up on its side to reveal a shiny metallic surface that reflected the sun, not as bright like a mirror, but reflecting enough sunlight with a bright blue grey reflection (like cobalt metal with a bright light shined on it is exactly what it looked like) that came from the whole area of the craft. It was on its side for about 2 seconds as it still moved forward following the other. That is when I saw it was a disk shaped and that it was not an airplane. When they were level they were more of a thin dark line in the sky with no shiny reflection from their sides (that I could see anyway from my angle).

They were moving at about 150 miles per hour (about the same speed as a small airplane or a little faster in the last few seconds I saw them go into the valley.)

The day was clear and sunny, not a cloud in sight.

The whole sighting lasted about 10 seconds since I only caught the last part of them before they entered the mountains, but while I was watching them a few other drivers were also pulling their cars over and looking up at the sky . I am sure with such a large object and its shiny surface many others in the bitterroot valley saw the same thing if they happened to be paying attention.

I read a few articles about them and wasn't selfish about the idea God didn't make this huge universe just for the people on earth, so I am sure there are millions of different races roaming around looking for something to do.

Other Comments

Most people here that have lived here for a long time will say they have seen many sightings here, but don't want to talk about it with law enforcement or any other agency. They just keep it to themselves and tell their stories among friends. There are those who even have seen crafts land in their fields at times, but won't report it for fear others would think they were nuts. Makes sense to me.
