Description of Area / Surroundings

It was moving over an urban area with mountains a bit further to the east. There are military bases near Orange County, CA, and I have seen trails from missles that have been tested over the ocean. Those kinds of incidents are usually reported. The sighting took place approximately 7 miles north of John Wayne Airport, which was closed at the time. No flights are allowed to land after 10:00 p.m., I believe (maybe earlier). The sky was very clear although there were some low clouds floating about. I could see more stars than usual.

I was sound asleep when my 22 year old son woke me up at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2005. He knows I have difficulty sleeping and would never wake me up unless it was very important. He asked me to please come outside because he saw something moving in the sky that looked like a UFO. When we went outside I observed an object moving in a southerly direction over the City of Tustin toward the Costa Mesa/Newport Beach area. It was moving south from the Yorba Linda area, or so it seemed. The object moved above the clouds, just high enough where I couldn't tell the exact shape. It seemed round and bright but pale yellow. I would have thought it was an airplane except the object stopped completely, and unexpectedly, in the sky. It remained still for two or three seconds and then moved forward again. While watching with fascination, the object stopped suddenly and then move to the east, like it was making a left turn. The turn, or change in direction, was not curved, it was a sharp left angled turn. Once the object stopped moving east, or left, it moved forward again. It then stopped again and made a sharp right turn, in a westerly direction. It stopped again and began moving in a southerly direction once more. At no point did any of the light go out on the object or change in intensity. The object kept moving, stopping, and occasionally changing direction as I watched it pass from my field of vision. The object was not moving quickly and it did not make a sound. I could see airplanes flying at much higher altitudes. We watched for about ten minutes until we couldn't see it anymore.

I think anything is possible, including the fact that what we were watching was a UFO.

When I was young I was convinced that there were extra terrestrial aircraft that regularly visited our atmosphere. As I grew older I realized that the military tested a variety of weapons and aircraft, although I have never ruled out the possibility of a unexplained craft being from another planet. I've always read about the phenomenon, and I've looked at pictures of them, most of them pretty bad and obviously faked... at least in my eyes.

A small ball of very bright white light. When it flew away at an excelerated speed, I could see blue and red light streaks from behind, like exhaust.

It seemed to be the size of a baseball as it hovered above the house across the street. From my observations it seemed to be miniature, and not an object in the distance.

I am guessing at the date, it was when my son was in junior high, so I am guessing at 1982. I remember it was nice weather, clear beautiful night, just a few stars,no clouds. It was about one oclock in the morning I had been upset and crying due to an arguement with my husband. I got up and went to my game room to be alone, I looked out of the window facing north, just contemplating. As I gazed into the night sky, I noticed a light moving strangly. I saw a small bright white light, it moved from the east and stopped abruptly, and hovered. The strange movement and the fact that it was very bright caught my eye, plus the fact that it was very small, it was the size of a baseball. It seemed to be hovering above the house across the street. I wiped my eyes dry to make sure I was not seeing reflections in my tears, but it was still there. I tried to rationalize it to be a cars head lights on the mountain in the distance, although I have never seen anything like it before, never saw a cars headlights there before, I didn't beleave there was a road in the location. It moved forward and then backward slowly, hovering but going back and forth and up and down. I ruled out car, I tried to rationalize that it may be a helicopter in the distance, but I heard no sound and it moved too swiftly, and it was too small, it would have been too close to the mountain. It just didn't behave like a helicopter. I ruled out helicopter. I knew it was something strange, I thought about running to get my husband and the camera, but I was afraid it would be gone when I returned. I decided to go to the slider door that was to my left which would be west of the window I was peering out of. I stepped out of the slider door and was visible on my balcony, just I stepped from behind the corner of the house and faced the object, a very bright light flashed into my eyes. It was as if the small light was shining a beam into my eyes, much like a flash light beam. I was blinded for an instant and then I side stepped the beam and then it went out. I was able to see the small light but for only a second, it showed a small tail of blue and red light as it sped away to the west. It was at that moment that I knew I had been looking at a UFO, for it sped away making no sound at all and at a speed I have never seen before. From hovering just a few yards away from where I stood to the horizon in a matter of a split second, with no sound. I don't believe we are capible of that technology even now in 2005.

I ruled out all natural objects and any conventional object as I observed it. When it sped off at such an extreme speed and covered the distance in such a short duration of time I knew for certain it was not of our technology, and not of this world.

Before the sighting, I figured that we could not possibly be the only beings in the universe, we are not very advanced, there probably are beings more advanced then we are. I had viewed something on television before about the governments attempts at hushing up the details of a UFO crash and the discovery of alian bodies, before I saw the light in the sky. I have heard about the same story many times since on T.V. and now days there is alot on T.V. about sightings.

I have told my husband about the sighting of the light in the sky, he has never seen anything like a UFO in his life. He believes me, but to really believe he has to see it with his own eyes. I believe what I saw was a UFO, but what really is slightly disturbing, and in a way exciting, is the fact that the UFO saw me. When it flashed a light in my eyes, one has to wonder if it not only saw me, did it read my mind? Did it find me of no consiquence, my mind full of curiosity and of no danger to it and so it took off. In that split second for all I know it could have abducted me and experimented on me, with their technology it just needed that split second to do so, it could be possible. I don't recall any experiences of an abduction, in dreams or while awake and so hope it did not happen.

ME, and a firend where walking down a old dirt road,now used as a trail,and we truned onto another trail,and I looked up and saw the clouds in one area ,moving funny like infolding on them selves I nudged my buddy mike to look but he already was , i said do you see that,now we saw a shape appearing ,like it was comming out of a different demenion ,the outline appearded 1st then the inside was filled in then it kinda moved out of the infolding cloud,it was metalic color with 3 rectangulair lights in the middle ,i could see seams it was glowing or emmitting a glow around us then the 1st light lite up and it glowed brighter the same for the second light, and then the third,they where 3 different colors each i think blue red green or yellow,as each light lite up thje object emmited brighter,and i even said to mike it was setting the on fire ,i rember it was dusk,not quite dark ,i could see the tree bark in detail better around us,then the object , which apperad to be tilted at us , after the 3 lights and the glowing it kind of nudged and it disappeared. then me an mike trunned around and went to our home and told our parents,itold my mom i think i saw a spaceship,she ask if i where drinking ,no i wasnt,i just trunned 18,so it was eitheir in may or june, thanks

Looks hugh in size.would be flying at a distance of 400km to 600km above the earth's surface or rather the surface where i stand.appear fairly white yellowish in color.speed of rotation was beyond description.the sighting last for 6 to 8 secs.since i was facing more towards the eastern side of the north east part the object appear from my right side to my left side,i.e. appear from the east and seems to disappear in the north east side.

Between 9:30pm to 10:00pm just after i had my dinner i went out as usual to pee in the drainage against the incomplete bulid wall.A habit that had developed over the years was to look upwards and enjoy the beauty of the clear dark sky filled with millions of the small tiny shiny bright stars,when all of a sudden i could see a flash of fair light yellowish bright color of high intensity was revolving or rotating in the sky at an undescribable speed or velocity.however the sound was not disturbing and the sight lasted for 6 to 8 seconds.

After the sighting I felt terribly amazed of the wierd thing that had just happened to me that night. didnt know what to do, and feeling unable to describe the sighting though happy i was to see the sighting,I ended up keeping it to myself. For years I was not aware of what i saw till one fine day in my 9th std. that we came to discuss about the famous bermuda triangle,when the subject got so hot that my friends comes to bring out the topic about aliens.finally this topic leads my friends to discuss about UFO's.A lot was talk about UFO's on that day that the subject was so strong that all facts about these objects were brought to light by my friends.However when i was convinced of the object that i saw few years back, I stopped the discussion my friends were with,just to informed that the thing that were discussing was once seen by me from my own house during the night after my dinner .But my friend would laugh away to glory saying that such sightings are seen only in the U.S.A. and not in INDIA.So i thought I would be a fool to talk or convinced my friends of the sightings i simply once again kept quite.

I was a small boy of around 8 to 10 years old. It was time for bed and my brother and me slept in the same room. the head of my bed was up against a window that looked out to the south. After my mom would leave the room I would almost always flip over on my stomach and look out the window till I got tired. So, this one night must have been around july I was looking out and I remember telling my brother to come over and look at this big lightning bug because it seems now that I only saw one light that was ether blinking or the trees were making it seem like it was going on and off. Well anyway, I remember telling my brother a couple of times to come look. And sometime right after that is where I can't remember exactly what happened. I'm not sure if I got loud as it got bigger and bigger or my brother finally came over to look and yelled for my mom. The next thing I remember is the three of us looking out the window and my mom yelling for my dad that was already in bed as my brother and me started to the front door. I can't remember what was being said by anyone. My brother or mom are even my dad as he got to the door about the same time as we did as we opened it. The object was moving slow with no noise at all. And other than the one light that I can remember it was completly black or it looked like it. It seems now that it was as big or bigger than our house as it went over just above the tree tops. It looked real close. It was round I think and I remember you could not see the stars just black.

Now I know this has been almost 40 years ago and I've went through what happened a thousand times in my head but I don't remember anyone saying one word about what we just saw. Nor do I remember going back in the house or going back to bed or even talking to my brother about it. It was like it never happened because it never came up. And I think I was too young or scared to bring it up and it was years and years later that I even remembered about that night happening.

One night here in Vegas I saw a diamond (triangle) shaped object in the sky. No lights at all,no sound. Me, my girlfriend and a friend or mine came down to the conclusion that it was a secret military jet of some kind out of Nellis Air Force Base. We still now and then will jokingly say to one another "Seen any UFO's lately". But I believe in U.F.O.'S but I don't believe in alot of the storys you here. On friday Sept. 30th 2005, Officers Tony Roefaro & Dale Moore were on patrol (Spring TWp Police Dept, Centre County PA, near Penn State) witnessed what we would call a low speed flying telephone pole, the 911 center was advised as well as the local airport. Two different sightings on the same day between 10:30am and noon. Approx. 1500hrs we witnessed a fighter jet in the area, also the Good Year blimp was in the Penn State area due to the Penn State vs. Minn. game on sat. Oct.1st.

The National UFO reporting center was advised and we are awaiting a response as to what this is for sure. It looks like a black telephone pole (40 ft). Again I'm not saying for sure it is a UFO but we can't identify it yet. The local media was not notified yet.

Can anyone tell us what this is? Any questions please advise.

I would have to say above the tree it was about 3/4 of the width of the tree top and about the same size height. It looked like it was right there, not far away at all, to us it looked huge.

Metuchen is a rural residential area, lots and lots of tree covering, we were coming down the street from an incline and a park area, so we had clearing above us to see above the trees at this particular area. We are a small town in New Jersey, it is only 2.5 square miles (we are surrounded by Edison). It was a beautiful night and the sky was so clear, there was not one cloud and you could see multiple stars. There are no power plants/industrial areas within miles of us.

I was driving down oakland avenue last night with my friend Connie. It was just around 9pm and the sky was completely clear (you could see multiple stars). We came to almost the end of Oakland Avenue right before Grove Avenue when above the trees we saw a huge object. It was such a shock to the both of us that all we could say was "what the hell is that" "holy crap" "what the hell is that". What we both describe the "object" as is the same and we both saw it for about 3-4 seconds. The object was directly above the tees and it was definitely close because we saw it as huge. It had two big bright lights on it (one was on the upper right and one was on the bottom left). We describe the shape as circular or oval and there was a ring around it that was a shadow looking red ring. Since we were very shocked at the moment, she kept driving, making a right onto grove ave. Then we realized that we needed to look at it again, but now the trees were blocking it. We went around the bock (behind where we thought the object was, on a hill). There was a clearing at the street in front of a church, we stopped, and saw bright lights (now they were pretty far), and then we both saw a flash of light for about 1-2 seconds that dissappeard from the middle before the bottom or top and then it was gone. We kept driving around the area to hopefully spot it again, but we had no success. For the rest of the night we were both very freaked out/confused not being able to concentrate on anything other than what we had seen. We hope that someone else saw this last night, I would not believe that no one else saw this, because of the size of it and how bright it was (and right in front of us)! We definitely cannot explain what we saw as anything that we have ever seen before.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

We both sat around talking about this incident last night, we couldn't stop thinking about it, trying to make any sense of it, but we could not. We know it was too low to be anything like a plane and it was just in the same place (not moving the whole time we saw it). We know the Giants blimp was seen ealier last night, but this was way too low for that and obviously not a big blue and white balloon. The shape of it was circular/oval and it was not the moon or sun. It was right in front of us, like we could almost touch it if we were tall enough, it was right above the tree tops directly in front of us. The lights were very bright and the shadowy red around it was very apparent. This did not resemble anything I have ever seen (both in person or even on TV).

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

I am open to anything being possible, if I were to see a UFO, I would have a different image in my mind then what we actually saw. We could not describe the actual object's color, only the lights and the red ring around it. I watch Unsolved Mysteries all the time, and I am open to the possibilty to life outside our universe, I still wonder what happened at Area 51. Even though I am always open to the possiblity of it all, I never in my wildest dreams would have thought that I would see something unexplainable.

I would just like to know anyone else who saw this. Me and Connie would really like to talk to other because we know that only other who saw this could actually understand how we are feeling from this experience.
