Looking up at the sliver of a moon just at dawn---sky was already light blue---startled to see a bright white ball of light move across the ske from the N East to S West and disappear in the distance out over the Pacfiic (to the west of Catalina Is.). Totally silent and very fast....several hundred MPH....a jet passed below the object 30 secs later going south and to compare speeds, the object was going at least two or three times as fast...about the speed of a military jet or faster....but silent. Did not change speed or direction.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Must've been a weather balloon, very high, caught in jet stream to account for the speed, and reflecting the sun.

The shape was oval in general, but it looked like a black balloon that had a heavy cable wrapped around and around it. And it had a tiny dot of a satelite whipping around it violently. It looked like it was in a storm wind, but it was a calm day. And it didn't seem that far up in the air.

If I held out my pinky at arms length, I could cover it up with 1/2 of my pinky nail. I would guess its size at 30 feet in diameter. Roundish, blobby in appearance.

we saw it in a neighborhood with houses. We were somewhat close to an old extinct volcano (mt Tabor). Downtown portland oregon was a 2 minute drive away, as well as the willamette river.

My friend was sitting in his room and looking up at the sky and napping, when he saw this object hovering midair.

It was barely discernable, but it was during the day, it was clear and calm. He called me over to look at it

and we went out in the street (Grant ave SE near 39th st.) to look at it.

We didn't think to photograph it, as it was just a little dot in the sky.

The thing that convince us that it was something unusual is that little satelite whipping around

it. Other than that it looked like a weather balloon that had been tightly wrapped in a long cable.

As though the cable was wrapped around and around it. The body of the object seemed like it

was kind of a superlight parachute material, i guess.

The other thing that convinced us it was something unusual was that it was acting

like it was being whipped around by the wind, even though it was a calm day.

It was about 5 years ago, so I can't remember much else without some questions, I guess.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Could have been a weather balloon, but it was behaving so strangley on a calm, sunny day. and it had that satelite buzzing around it.

I believe ufo's are too complex for us to understand. Its just so outside our comprehension to think logically about. I have a moderate, passing interest in UFOs.

Fallen V shaped, huge boomerang-like object. CHAD FROM KENTUCKY (Artist/Teacher), PLEASE RESPOND BY POSTING A MESSAGE!! THE OBJECT I SAW LOOKED EXACTLY LIKE YOUR SECOND PENCIL SKETCH! A V shaped object, almost like a huge boomerang, silently flying (or should I say gliding?) across the clear night sky.. very low altitude.. the object seemed like it was made up of dim tiny lights..pale green? No sound.. it went flew past like a feather, just that it was huge, almost the size of a trailer.

At first, I thought it was a V shape made by a group of migratory birds flying across the night sky.. but the who pattern was so huge, with dim lights, to be one.

Last night Sept. 29, 2005 I saw something I had never ever seen before. It was a orange/red type comet looking object with a long tail of what looked like fire. There was a round front to it and it was much lower than a plane and far too low to be a star. It was also very large. I actually waited to hear an explosion, thinking it must have been a plane on fire. I searched for news reports, found nothing. Anyone else witness this?

THE OBJECT THAT WE SAW WAS TRAVELING FROM THE EAST TO THE WEST BETWEEN 7: 30 PM AND 8:00PM. IT WAS A VERY BRIGHT YELLOW! THE NOSE WAS SHAPED LIKE THE ROUNDED END OF A PEN. IT WAS VERY LARGE. IT SEEMED TO HAVE FLAMES OR LIGHTS COMING OUT OF THE OTHER END. THE OVERALL SHAPE WAS OBLONG, STRETCHED LONG IN THE MIDDLE. AS YOU LOOK OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD OF THE TRUCK IT WAS DIRECTLY IN YOUR LINE OF VISION. IT TRAVELED AWAY AT ABOUT THE SAME LEVEL. IT DID NOT SEEM TO BE DECENDING IN ELEVATION. I THOUGHT THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN AN AIRPLANE ON FIRE BUT I WATCHED TO SEE IF THERE WAS AN IMPACT OR IF THE HORIZON LIT UP FROM AN IMPACT. IT NEVER HAPPENED. THERE WAS NOTHING ON THE NEWS THIS MORNING ABOUT ANY AIRPLANES DOWN OR ANYTHING ELSE. DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THIS OBJECT?

I was going home on foot toward the north side of the city at 4:55 A.M. it was A cool clear night. When I looked up to my right and seen four large bright white lights. Since there is no tall buildings or towers in that area they stood out and the fact that they were in the shape of A triangle. As I got closer I could see the outline of the craft that was shaped like A thick triangle was rounded off edges. under it was four large white lights. One on the front, one on each corner and one in the back that lined up with the light on the front edge. It was A flat black color like stealth aircraft have. It was not A helicopter and it did not have the pop and click of A main rotor or the shape of A helicopter. It had no Nav lights of green or red. It made no noise until I got closer I heard A very low rumble that seemed to be behind and higher up then the aircraft. As the craft moved I heard no noise. It headed southwest low at A slow speed.

Before I was no sure but I tryed to keep A open mind. Now I believe there is something out there I seen it with my own eyes! I love to read and knew of UFOs but never really studied them.

I was walking home at around 2am and was just a few meters from my houes at the top of the street and for some reason I just decided to look at the stars. Then I see a bright light appear......

This light then zooms across the sky at a speed man can not acheive, like a frigging 200,000KM an hour and it's gone in an instance. That was it.

No Photo. I am still 18 years old and had just turned 18 when I saw it, like 2 weeks before.

I believe in other life forms, how big is our earth? massive! how far is it to pluto? to far! How far is a light year going to take to travel, heaps. How could we be the only life forms?

No, went to fast, if hyperspace travel is real, this craft used it as it was zomming really fast and I could see it and then it just disapeared.

me and me big brother was just cruising in his new car . we where cruising about our home town checking out the local talent.in hull england , but we both where not exspecting what was going to happen to us both in the next hour and i think they was checking us out instead ha ha . we started to get slightly board i think we frightend the people off because when we came out they was no people . so we decided to take a run down to our new caravan in witheransea we where driving down the country roads witch is very dark and hardly no street lighting we was doing about 50 m.p.h just cruising realy listening to the tunes on the stereo sytem. i was just stiring into the darkness of the sky as it was a very clear night and all you could see was the stars and the moon witch lit up the night sky . then i spotted a light like a dim star but it was moving and as i watched it it grow brighter and larger as it came to view at first i thought it was a plane or the police helicopter that flies around our skies at night doing its police duities but come to realise that it was not a police helicopter nor a plane or a air ship,first it came from the back left side of the car and shot past the left it came to the front and slowly went to the right side of the car and slowly went back towards the back of the car.we thought it was going away but it started to slowly climb above the roof of the car it had lights all over it and it was a perfect triangle shape but about 20 times bigger than the car then i was starting to panick my older brother then put his foot down on the gas and speeded up to speeds in excess of 60 65 m.p.h and the roads was very thin and bendy and twisted but we could not shake it off and then it happend the u.f.o came over the top of us i was frightend at this time but i could not beleive my eyes so i had to open the sun roof on the car and i stood up and took my seat belt off and popped my head out of the sun roof it was the most spectacular thing we had ever seen i could have reached my hand out and touched it with my hand it was that close to me i could even see the superstructure on it there where blue red green lights on it but the craft was some what dark but you could see all the structure on it and the wierdest thing about it there was no engine noise coming from it at all, all i could hear was the wind brushing past my hair and my body and the car but there where no noise from the craft what so ever then it whent stright over us both me brother seeing it as well so i was not seeing things because i have my brother as a witness. it slowly turned away then whent up into the sky and sat there we pulled up into a bus shelter and just watched this amazing thing then it broke into two halfs and the maine part of the ship sat at the top while the other half sat at the bottom and the bottom half started to swing like a clock pendulum it did this for a very long time we then set off to the caravan we could not wait to tell the folks we had just had a very close encounter with somthing very strange in deed. we then set back off to find it hovering over b.p a very big chemical plant that we have in hedon. Astronomy Lab Class was looking at constellation Cassiopeia, when suddenly two extra bright stars appeared. They continued to increase in brightnest until reaching Mag -3 then they went dark.
