Hi, I just saw the most spectacular and equally mystifying sight I have ever seen in my whole life!!... I was out standing out in the front yard of my cottage, which is located in a small village in Romania (Ialomita) about 1 1/2 hours ago, smoking a cigarette, tired after another hard day of work. It was about 9 PM, and there was no one on the road just outside our house. My wife was inside the house looking up something on the Internet.

The night was clear and the stars were out. I like starlit skies, so I take my time to gaze at them, whenever I get the time. Tonight also, as I had said before, I was casually watching the night sky, taking an occasional puff at the cigarette.. Suddenly, as if from out of the blue, and to my utter disbelief, I saw an object in the shape of a monstruous boomerang gliding past just above my head. It was at a very low altitude, and was made up of tiny patches of shining lights. The most interesting thing is, even though it was gliding so low, it was like a feather, never making any sound!!! It glided past so gracefully and efforlessly over my head that it seemed utterly unearthly. I first thought it was a group of migratory birds forming a pattern, flying over my head (such birds sometimes make a V pattern when they fly).. But, how on earth can they all shine dimly? How can they make such a steady, graceful movement? I blinked my eyes just to confirm that I'm not dreaming. Just when I was watching this phenomen gliding past, WITHOUT MAKING A SOUND, I saw a lonely figure on the road outside walking hurriedly. This object was gliding past his head too, but he didn't even realize it.. the whole scene was so quiet, and if you didn't look above, you wouldn ever realize such a thing is happening!! It is a pity only I saw it. The object disappeard from my view within a few seconds.. it went southward.. The whole experience lasted only for maybe 7 seconds or less.

I was dumbfounded and called my wife and told her the news. To my surprise, she told me the study room lights fluctatued almost around the exact time I saw this object.. and she didn't even know what was happening!

At first, I didn't know what to do, but then I decided to see if someone else anywhere in the world has seen this today (Sept. 29, 9 PM). I didn't find any on google, but I got some links ot some recent sightings, and to my surprise, I find the object that I saw looks exactly like the second pencil sketc CHAD FROM KENTUCKY made, on this website earlier this month. It is not like his first picture. The thing I saw looked exactly like his second drawing.. the V shaped object with lights (he only drew a few lights on it, but the thing I saw was made up of small, faint, shining lights.)

I would very much like to get in touch with Chad from Kentucky. .all the other drawing I saw on your site do not match my sighting; only his does.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

I first thought it was made by migratory birds flying in a boomerang shape.. but the way it was gliding past made it very clear that it was not composed of any living thing.. the motion was so 'gracefully mechanical.' I don't know how mechanical and gracefulness can go together, but this is the very thing that made me realize it is not a group of birds.

I was pretty young but still Im sure about the thing we saw. I went home from school with some (4) of my friends. We live on a hill. when we reached the hillside, a very sheer street, we noticed a flying object. It's shape was tetrahedral, and it's colour was brownish. I remember that we thought it was some kind of metal as the sun blinked on it. It was revolving very very slowly without any sound. I dont know how big it was and how high it was flying. It was flying up on the hill and suddenly disappeared. We wnt home, a friend of mine who lives on the other side of the hill saw it again for a while but again, it disappeared. We were not afraid or anything. At home I told my parents what we saw but of course, being a child, no one believed me. Till that time we spoke about it with my friend several times and we remember the same way.

I did not read about UFO-s before. I was a child when I saw it. My opinion: UFO-s are unidentified flying objects. This can mean a lot of things. I dont say they are living creatures in these object or things like that. I just saw something which I can not explain.

I had just put the children to bed and it was around 9.30 on this Saturday evening. I just happened to look out of my bedroom window which overlooks the street. I happened to look up and see 2 amber lights, equal in size and travelling at the same speed together. They reached a point in the sky and came to a stop, then just seemed to disappear as if going upwards. Once these had disappeared I then noticed 2 more amber lights again come over the rooftops and climb to the same point in the sky and again slowly disappear. That this point I then went out into the street and saw my neighbour who had spotted them as well when taking his dog for a walk, he first thought they may have been microlites and I thought they may have been balloons on a night flight. As we spoke a further 3 amber lights, travelling together came from over the rooftops, got to the same point in the sky (level with the moon) and disappeared.

I did some research on the internet and thought that they may have been sky lanterns, which are left off at Asian weddings, but since that date an article came out in my local paper saying that some other residents in my area had also seen these lights and that the local UFO expert had said that they were most probably UFOs.

My neighbour first thought they may have been microlites and I thought they may have been balloons on a night flight, but the gas in a balloon wouldn't stay lit for that length of time. So other than that I have no explanation.

This photo was taken on thursday 22 sept 2005 in

Kiev (Ukraine) around 5pm.

It was taken with a digital photocamera Olympus C-450 Zoom 4Mpixel.

I took the picture from this statue from very far away and i was using 3x optical focus together with x4 digital (so x12)

On the lcd screen of the camera i did not notice anyting particular at that time because of the low resolution of the small lcd screen.

First i thought it were flyby insect or birds but if you take a closer look it appears to be a moving round object with a dome on top.

I would be glad to hear opinions from expert photographers what it possibly can be.

I am not saying it is an UFO, it its just something strange on the photo.

People with stupid, or insulting remarks/comments, go and read your playboy on the toilet, or goto mc donalds and get even more fat.... or get Alzheimer ASAP, would be nice to see in you some light burning and nobody home.

I was about 11 or 12 years old, I think. My family was building a house in Romulus near the Detroit Metro Airport. On the house we only had the first floor up and was working on the second floor. Most of my family was there. My father was on the 2nd floor and the rest of us on the ground. We all looked up at the same time and saw a hugh shaped "saucer" flying slowly over us. We saw the detail of it and knew we had never seen it before. We watched as it slowly went over us, as if it was watching us build. The next day the Detroit News had reported that there was several UFO sightings near the Detrit Metro Airport. Did anyone else see this?

it looke like a cigrar shaped object with circular windows around the middle of it. it made no noise whatsoever. it stayed in one place for about 2 hours . we finally just went home after I tried to tell my parents three times.. the next morning it was gone.

my brother and I were out at about 11:00pm. we looked about 50 feet into the air and there was a funny looking craft hovering up above us.. We watched it for about 15 minutes.I told my brother I was going home to get my parents becouse they had friends over for a visit . I told them a space craft about 150 yards long was watching us...They just laughed at me and said invite them in for coffee..I tried my best toget them to come look at the craft . it was about the length of three houses

I was standing on my back prch about 12:30am. I watched a plane fly over head going northwest from my home, I looked to the east and saw what appeared to be a very bright star. About that time I noticed the "star" moving side to side very quickly, so quickly all I could see were the tracers left behind. The "star" then began to dim and brighten, it moved higher up into the sky, got dim to the point it looked exactly like a star and then disappeared. My body became paralyzed for about 30 seconds, and the whole thing lasted less than 5 minutes.

No. I went back outside in the daylight and ther are no towers of any sort, and i saw airplanes in the sky and know the difference. I have watched this same view from my porch for 4 years and have never seen this in the sky before.
