It was night, The place was surrounded with forest.A river was aprox 1 km away. We saw high above the sky (below the hight normal jet flies we generally see in day time) a disk is standing stand still. Roughlyabove the river. It was the remitting faint whitish light. Then it started moving like a pendulam and slowly the speed increased and after thet the colour changed with a golden ring and on that a green ring. It then zoomed to the higher sky with a great speed to our estimates aprox 10 times we generally see the jet flights, and it disappeared. It happend before I get my 60X20 binocular or my camera.

Appeared to be aircraft landing lights. Moved in a straight line from a point due south of me toward the NNW. Lights (2) were as bright as landing lights, but were bright red-orange in color. No other strobes, beacons, or navigation lights were visible. No structure was observed; no sound was heard.

Full Description & Details

I had this photo enlarged when I came across it again several years later, while cleaning my desk. The film was 112 I believe. When it was enlarged it was grainier than the original. However the enlargement shows a sort of heat trail from one end of it. It was an oval shape and dark in color. I would like this analyzed further if possible, it still intrigues me. Please let me know how I can do this.

My mother has story of a sighting that she and her brothers and some friends had in the late 1950's during the day. I have talked to my uncles about it and they still remember it very clearly and can draw a picture.

I was in a yard in Wilmington NC. I decided to checkout a star or two when I noticed something unusual...or so I thought. I went inside to get binoculars, as I gazed up at the area of interest I saw three objects with diffrent color lights. Possibly yellow, green and red...though my memory isn't positive. Anyway, I continued to watch for several minutes...these things were stationary, totaly still. Then out of nowhere a fourth speeds in extremely fast, it sits there a minute or two and then takes off. I'd say within no more then 20 - 30 seconds the initial three follow suit in the same direction and are GONE. I never saw them again though I did look once or twice. Shortly after this I noticed a circular mark on the underside of my right forearm...I think it was the right side. Anyway, it looked like the imprint of a large bottle cap ...2" - 2.5". It had the same design around the edges as the old coca cola caps. It was there a while and eventualy went away.

First saw the large vertical oblong object flashing over and beyond the houses. Next a small red flashing object approached and hovered above and to the north. At this point myself & friend drove quickly to Inland Island Highway to get a better view. The large object seemed to be quite a ways from us (over snakehead lake?) but was visibly flashing (red @bottom,green @ top with constant orangey-white @center) in a pattern, it sunk to the side slightly but remained in a constant spot). After about 15 min? the flashing red disappeared. About 15-20 min? later what looked like a small plane flew from the north side, directly over the object then south seemingly towards Courtenay? About 5 min after this three constant white objects formed a triangle/Vee to the lower right side (north) of the object with one flashing white object on the right side and slightly above the formation. They all stayed at a constant distance from each other without moving. then the triangular formation dropped downwards all of a sudden into the treeline and we could not see them. The large object remained for about 10-15 min? alone in the same area....suddenly the flashing pattern changed and was flashing orange in a new pattern for 2-3 min and then descended straight down and then below the tree line.

During this time we saw regularily scheduled jets making way to Vancouver BC, four "shooting stars", what looked like a small plane fly over (as mentioned). These flashing multi, flashing red and the constant white objects were definitely something very strange and not planes/ satellites/ stars etc... we usually star-gaze and check meteor showers but we have never seen anything like this before! They hovered and moved diagonal/up/down and darted. None of them fly by as planes or satellites do.

My wife and I had just stepped outside for some fresh air at approximately 10 pm or so when the wind seemed to kick up all at once. We both looked up at the night sky as we began to discuss whether we were supposed to get some bad weather or not that night. We were talking and both facing the same direction (West)when we both saw a brightly lit spherical object sailing from North to South in a straight line. At the same moment we heard a commercail airliner as it traveled toward the Bay County Airport to land coming from our left. The plane was traveling from an Easterly direction toward the airport West of us. They were both at what looked like the same altitude and on a collision course!!! They didn't collide but I'll bet that pilot had to change pants when he landed. The object seemed to glide quickly through the sky and went straight out to sea and out of sight. It appeared to be perfectly spherical and lit from the inside. It had what appeared to be some type of framework as it looked like it was sectioned on the inside. I remember thinking as soon as I saw it that it looked very much like a huge soccer ball. That is what the sections were exactly like! My wife and I both got a very good and clear look at it as I just know the Airline pilot did. He, no doubt,had much more of a closeup.

The next day we read in the newspaper that hundreds of calls came in to police and the Tyndall Air Force Base about the object. The Air Force quickly came up with the unbelievable explaination that a 'weather balloon' had deflated and was seen by hundreds as it flew out over the Gulf. They even had a photo in the newspaper of what type of balloon it was supposed to be. The photo was of a long,teardrop shaped silver balloon. I guess that was good enough for some people but I know what I saw was not a balloon. The object I saw was illuminated from the inside and was not teardrop shaped and it wasn't silver. What I saw was the size of a small house and I was probably no more than 1000 feet from it.

My wife kept the newspaper clipping from all those years ago. Each time we have looked at it, we still agree that we did not see a weather balloon. I could send you a drawing but you could do it yourself just by drawing a plain,ordinary soccer ball with the hexagonal shapes in it and coloring the whole thing yellowish white as if it was illuminated from the inside.

I was on the patio and my partner was sitting just inside the house. I looked up and commented to him how brilliant the stars were. I was still gazing up ans saw a movement out the side of my eye. Thinking it was a shooting star I turned to watch it but boy! This was no shooting star.

There were three moving lights going very, very fast straight across the sky. Two were in perfect time, flying close to each other and the third was off to one side and back a bit.

I was living in South Africa then. Me, my brother, and his two kids 6 and 15 years old were sitting on the tarrace of our house in the holiday resort when we were spending vacation. The terrace was overlooking Indian Ocean and we were watching amazing atmospheric phenomena, it was very spectacular thunderstorm of enormous proportions. The whole horizon over Indian Ocean in front of us was being iluminated from left to the right by thunder lightings that seemed to jump from one side to the other. We were fascinated by this spectacle and were talking about it with my bro, speculating on how far from us it had been happening. I should add, that we were not sitting in the middle of this storm, we were actually watching it on the horizon and the skies over us were clear and full of stars, and it was so far, that we could not hear any sound of these thunders. The only sound we could hear was coming from the beach, and was made by big brakers. That's why it was so amazing.

And then my brother shouted - hey, look here, what is it? And I saw it in the very same instance - big, silvery, greish machine flying from South to North along the beach. In two, maybe three seconds she was above us. It was as big as Jumbo jet flying one, maybe two hundred meters above your head. We could see it very clearly, it looked like triangular wing, with oval dimmed lights along the edges. I saw something like strange construction features on its body and I knew immediately it was not an airplane. It did not make even slightiest sound, it moved fairly quickly to the North and disapeared behind the hiill. The whole event last for 10 sec at the most, she made very short arc and disappeared as quickly as she came. Judging from the perceived size of the object and the length of the arc she made ,i would say she could fly at the speed of say 200km/hour, like the landing craft. We were talking about this all the time, but this was not the end of the spectacle. After the strange craft disapeared, we kept on looking into the sky, and after 1 -1.5 hours we spotted three lights in a triangle formation high in the sky. They were moving pretty fast, quickier then most satelites do. then all the lights together took a sharp turn, made like half loop, rapidly accelerated, got together, and disappeared. It was like watching SF movies, and space ships going into hyperspace! I know it sounds unbelievable, but it all happened to me on this strange night on the Indian Ocean.

I stil have my diary in which I made a note about this event, and even made a sketch of it. If someone is interested, I can send a scan. I was living in South Africa for almost 14 years, skies are beautifull in this country, clear and stars are bright. As a hobbist I have a great interst in astronomy and related subjects and I watched the stars frequently. During that time I have encountered three sightings of UFO, out of which the one I described above was the most spectacular. I used to be sceptical about EL, but not anymore, I know my truth. And the only thing that may change my believe is, if in next ten years or so, we all find out about kind of new propulsion system which is completely noiseless and was in prototype phase from early nineties. I n other words, I will have to see what I saw then, to be convinced that what I saw, was not what I think it was.

I was outside of my house saying good bye to my brother and his family because they came to have dinner with my family for new year, when a 11 year old girl (nephew), said "look mommy those lights look like the ones we saw the other day" every body looked up and we saw the things flying slowly and then stop at a point in which they make a triangle. I went inside and grab my videocamera and started filming those things. After a couple of minutes two of the flying objects started to disappear. The last one stayed tree more minutes and started throwing something that looked like fire like if it were waterfall but instead of water it was something that looked like fire. We my video camera I zoomed the object which seemed like if all of the sudden it divided en turned into two small lights of balls of fire. I got scared and run inside of the house and didn't continue to film. (I regret that now)

I have the video of this things I don't know if the are real UFO's or some sort of government things, but I wil like to Know.

When I said that the little girl said "they look like the ones we saw the other time" is because the same thing happen about a year ago, just before Christmas of 2003. There were 13 witnesess besides myself. But I didn't have a videocamara handy at that time. There were also three lights that did the same thing.
