I have told of this event a number of times, always thinking that what I saw was much too large to have gone unnoticed by other people. Finally, an article in our local (Az. Republic) newspaper that I believe may refer to the event I recall.

One winter evening in approx. 1965, my Dad was in the front yard raking leaves as I stood nearby watching. It was around dusk, the sky was getting dark, but was not yet black. The largest object I have ever seen in the sky (other than the moon) passed overhead, not a sudden streak like a typical meteorite, but slower, so that we stopped and watched it pass over. I was 12 at the time, but my recollectin is that I thought it was nearly the size that the moon looks in the sky. It was bright, not so bright that it was hard to look at, but white, like the moon and with a short tapered tail of flame. The tail was not long, less than the diameter of the object in length, as I recall, and "flapping" a little. I don't recall any falling debris or secondary objects, and there was no sound that I remember.

The object did not appear to me to br crashing steeply toward the Earth, but passing overhead, or approaching at a shallow angle. From where I stood, the object was not straight overhead, but maybe 60 or 70 degrees above the horizon.

My address at the time was 185 Snowball Drive, in Levittown, Pa. I was standing with our house to my back and the object passed from my right to my left, which would mean it was travelling approximately Westward, maybe something between West and North, certainly not East or South.

After seeing the article in our local paper "Researcher (Leslie Kean) Seeks UFO Information from NASA," I believe what I must have seen was the "Russian Satellite" of Dec. 09, 1965. After all these years, I think I finally have the explanation I have long sought. Thought you might enjoy this recollection.

At 5:30 a.m. ~ 5:45 a.m. on 12/11/05, one oval orange object moving horizontally toward Northeast from Southwest passing right above our house. No blinking or brilliant light, but dime orange color light (Note: the sunrise time was 7:00 a.m.). The weather was clear: cloudless night sky. Its altitude cannot be determined. The object must be flying over the high altitude or possibly outer space. I could only compare the object with star lights and its dime orange color. The object seemed to be moving slightly zigzag at times (it might be caused by the atmospheric effect). The speed was undermined, but it moved faster than conventional airplanes. Observed for about 3 min. and eventually could not observe it due to its distance.

While wondering what it might be, approximately 30 seconds or 1 minute later, I noticed another oval object (the same color and size as previous one) was moving horizontally from North to South passing over our house. According to the size and color, it must have been flying at the same altitude at the same speed as the previous one. Both of the objects never changed its color (no sounds) throughout the course of flying. No reflection of the rising sunlight at all. There are AFBs in our island (Oahu). They should know what these objects are.

The event background: I had to let my dog out in my backyard, and I was just amazed by the beautiful night sky, and I was enjoying observing stars when I noticed these two objects.

i know they are not stars, planets, the moon, birds, or clouds. Not staellites. Possibly spy airplaines at outerspace (no sounds at all) but their color and its shape make me wonder. not weather balloons due to their flight directions and courses. I am cerntain it is not natual objects.

Please let me know what the objects are. Again there are AFBs on our island. Hawaii is critically important for military. They should know in their raders what they are.

Flat oval back end, flat bottom, sides curved away from the rear ( as if the craft were oval shaped toward the front, not triangular shape ). I could not discern the color of the craft, only the blueish corona cloud, or ionized gas looking cloud that covered the back end.

Back end approx 60 to 100 feet across, 15 to 30 feet high. Did not see the entire length of the sides, but it appeared longer than the width.

Approx one half mile away or less. Estimated 500 to 1000 feet altitude.

Rural area, west end of the Busch Wildlife Area. Scattered houses along the state highway that it was crossing as it headed west.

I was driving south on Hwy DD approaching stop sign at Hwy D, on the west end of the Busch Wildlife Area. Just past the intersection ( estimated one half mile from me ) the craft appeared in the darkness when a blueish corona or ionized gas cloud appeared at the back end of the craft. The blue corona effect lasted for 3 to 4 seconds. During this time, the light from the corona illuminated the side of the craft forward from the rear, until the sides curved out of the line of the light source, soI was able to see the craft for some distance forward of the back end.

The back end was a flat oval shape, and the bottom appeared flat. I estimate that it was 60 to 100 feet across at the back. The craft was moving very slowly to the west, or to my right.

Two nights after my sighting ( the following Sunday ), there were TV news reports of the sightings in Illinois on the east side of St Louis the previous Wednesday. Proir to those tv reports, I was not aware of the Illinois sightings which occured two days before my sighting west of St Louis.

There were obvious differences between my sighting and the Illinois sightings. In Illinois they reported lights shining to the ground, like searchlights or running lights, which were not evident in my sighting. They reported a craft that was triangular in shape, whereas in my sighting the craft appeared to have sides that curved from the back to the front, as if the craft was shaped like a long oval with a flat back end. Although I could not see all the way to the front fo the craft.

It appeared to be a man made craft, but unlike any I have ever witnessed. It appeared to travel much too slow to be a winged craft. The blue corona effect at the back end is unsual for any plane I know about. I have worked in the aircraft industry, and I can't explain how the craft was getting lift.

Electrical Engineering Degree, Private Pilot's License, worked in military aircraft company. Well read on 'UFO' sightings, and have had two previous sightings of unidentified flying objects which I do not have an explanation for, and for that reason I do not form conclusions about what they were.

I am as open minded about the possibility of UFO's as anyone, but I honestly don't believe interstellar travel is as likely to explain these types of sightings as military advanced craft can be. I have no doubt that there are other civilizations out there in the cosmos, but the distances are in my mind far too enormous to travel in metal ships. However, we know from the past 60 years that the military produces advanced craft that are seen by people long before they are publically acknowledged by the military, for reasonable security reasons.

Whilst travelling over to Brisbane, flying Quantas at night, I looked out of my window and saw these five luminescent spheres travelling along with the plane. I noticed that they were at equal distance away from each other ( in an east- west line) they looked to be a fair distance away from the plane (either that or they were very small spheres)The spheres were a pale- orange colour, after about 30mins they disappeared( I looked away for a moment, then looked back- Gone!!) I felt a slight sadness at the parting of them and myself.

My father and I saw this UFO in the summer of 1947. My father was 47 years old. I was 17. We were about to get into his car when he glanced up and said, "What the heck is that?" When I looked up I'm sure my mouth dropped open. There was a round object just sitting above us. I say it was luminous as though the sun was being reflected off its surface. Later we agreed that there was no way to tell if the object was round such as a globe or round and perhaps flattened like a saucer. Looking up it just seemed round. There was no way to judge the altitude, but it was low enough to clearly identify it as something which neither of us had ever seen before. (or since)

It looked solid and it was not moving. I remember my father holding up his arm with his thumb outstretched and saying to me, "With my arm up like this, I can cover the whole thing with my thumb." I remember thinking that it looked about as big as a penny, but that is of course very subjective. There were a few clouds in the sky being moved by the upper winds, however there was no apparent drift by the object. It simply remained in the same position for approximately ten minutes. It then moved in a direction away from us, gained speed and altitude at what seemed like an accelerating pace and within about ten seconds it reached an altitude where it was no longer visible. I remember my dad still staring at the sky and saying, "Wow, I wonder what that thing really is." We lived in a rural area and in later conversations with some of the neighbors could not locate anyone who had seen the thing. My dad asked me to tell him exactly what I saw and my impressions of it, then he told me what he saw and our memories about this incident coincided exactly. I started scanning the sky a lot more frequently after that, however, I have never seen anything like that since. WSL

I have studied in numerous fields and was lucky enough to work for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for a few years just prior to and during the Apollo missions.

I personally do not belive the earth has ever been visited by space aliens. There is simply no reason why a species of alien who can master interstellar travel would come to our little galaxy, go two thirds of the way out on one of the spiral arms, seek out our tiny, inconspicuous solar system and then decide that our earth was worth a visit. I must say or course it is not outside the realm of possibility, however, the probability must be on the order of billions to one against such a visit. I would give anything if it were true because I also believe our destiny is out there among the stars.

SOMETIME, IN THE NOT UNFORSEEABLE FUTURE, WE HUMANS WILL STAND ON THE FRONTIERS OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM AND FACE THE STARS. EITHER WE WILL STEP BACK, CONTENT TO LIVE OUT THE FUTURE ALONE, DENYING THE SPIRIT THAT BROUGHT US THUS FAR...OR WE WILL GO ON TO THE STARS. WHICH IS IT TO BE?

Huge dark disk, surrounded by flashing yellow and white rays. Moving slighty (bobbing) back and forth.

An ordinary ruler would measure it about 1/2 " across from a first story window. Really could not tell-- if you put a jet airliner next to it, the circumferance would be 1/3 the size of a jet seen from a distance.

Seen 2 evenings in a row at approximately 10pm, in southern sky over Bronx, NY. Seemed too close to earth to be a star. Hard to judge distance, but seemed to be at the level of a jet airliner--maybe 20,000? Detectable with ordinary field glasses.

I have seen them sporadically since my 20s ( I am now in my late 70s). My first sighting was when I was about 21 in 1948 over the Meadowlands, around Hackensack NJ, from the Susquehana Train travelling fr.NYC to Patterson NJ. Witnessed by other commuters.

I was at nigt in the patio with my wife. My neigborhood had no power since this happened rigth after hurricane Katrina passed through Miami. The nigth was really clear there were no visible clouds. We were liying on a Hammock when we saw two glowing objects. The ligth coming from them was not too brigth. At first we thought they were two white birds flying above us. The objects were flying one next to the other . They were aligned in the same direction. We first noticed that they were no birds because they were flying very simmetrically to each other and suddenly they became stationary at the very same moment we couln't notice desaceleration they just suddenly stopped!. Then one of them started moving very rapidily while the other started rotating. The first object moved towards the southwest in a rapid curved trajectory and the other that remained rotating in the same position. Finally the rotating object followed the first one in a very rapid movement.
