It has been almost 20 years since I saw it but recent shows on T.V. and the internet have sparked my investigation. I was walking my dog one evening in a area very close to the George Washington Bridge, all of a sudden this giant triangle that made no noise was moving slowly above the trees. It looked like something out Star Wars. It had lights, but it was the size and speed and height it was traveling at that took me off guard.

The shape of the object was circular (exact shape unknown because material seemed to not reflect any light). There were subtle but apparent lights of a white/orange tone arranged uniformly underneath. The material of the UFO did not reflect the orange/white light, but we could tell there was a solid object there (it blocked our view of the stars as it moved). The lights were bright enough to be seen, but subtle (like a spotlight with a cover that prevents a "light beam" effect). The object was completely quiet .

At least the size of a current super wal mart (very large). Again, the exact size was unknown because the surface of the object did not reflect any light (we knew it was solid because it obscured the stars)

While stationed at Ft. Huachuca from 1991-1993, a buddy of mine and I were walking to our car (in Sierra Vista). I got in the car and closed the door - only to notice my buddy still standing there at the door.

He told me to check this out (with a strangely worried tone). I got out of the car and looked up to see a large apparently circular shaped object moving very slowly away from Ft. Huachuca heading over Sierra Vista (parallel with the main strip).

I was amazed at the size of the object (easily the size of a super wal-mart or larger) - noting it made absolutely no sound. It appeared to be flying under 500' (estimated based on my Cessna flight training experience). Ground speed was initially estimated around 5 - 10mph. After watching the object for around 10 minutes, the object's lights began to dim and it moved up and away in an accelerating movement only to vanish (not sure if it was the accelerating speed, distance, or lights that caused the disappearing).

My buddy and I were both somewhat nervous after seeing this. We wanted to report the sighting to someone, but feared losing our security clearances (the typical "you're nuts" response to UFO sightings + being in the military = bad news for job security). We both agreed to remain silent about this. In light of some of the posts I've read, and a picture I found on the internet, I thought the time for silence was over - I can't attest to the validity of every sighting, but what we saw was beyond military capability of the time (1992 objects the size of super wal marts don't fly silently obscuring their exact shape and accelerate incredibly fast only to vanish). In retrospect, I can't help but believe anyone/anything with techonogy of this type must have wanted to be seen (given it's ability to vanish) and the slow speed & duration of this sighting.

If (in the off chance) my buddy reads this, google search for me... I have further information on our sighting. Regards all - too bad cell phone cameras werent available in 92.

I have been an aviation enthusiast since early childhood. This sighting was DEFINATLY not planes, helicoptors, stars, planets, atmospheric phenomenon, or blimps (blimps don't accellerate and disappear like this object did).

Before this sighting, I did not believe in UFO's. At the time of the sighting, I thought UFO's were purely hollywood stories. Now... I have seen something that is beyond our technological capability... I don't necessarily like the idea of UFO's being real (not knowing their true intentions) but I can't deny what I saw. The only comfort I have from this sighting is in thinking the UFO wanted to be seen (since it so easily accelerated and disappeared at the end).

I have an undergraduate degree in computer information systems, 4 years honorable military service, a family and happy life. Bottom line.... I'm the successful guy next door that doesnt talk about things like this openly because the media is keyed to ridicule, the government denies everything, and other people like myself want to keep their jobs.

while observing for almost an hour the "ufo" remained stationary. could see lights rotating. several colors. it was a long time ago but my memory is clear. distance was 12- 14 miles away. we were overlooking the flambeau flowage at a bridge. we were returning from joe burgs house heading to pine tree hideaway resort. after that when back at the resort i climed up on a pile of snow to contiunue observing. it remained in that position for about 1 1/2 hours. my brother brought me a coat. he looked at it but was not interested. i stood on the snowpile for about 25 minutes. the "ufo" then did move. it went from that location with no noise that i could hear. and dissapeared into the stars in about 10 seconds. i was ticked that no mention was ever made about it in the newspapers or radio. i did not even beleive what i saw till many months later. my dad did not want to talk about it as people would think we were nuts. i was there on march 15 , 1975. some of the reports i have read are not very accurate. i know the object hovered for at least 1 1/2 hours. we were too far away to actually see it and give a description. the sky was clear that night. the temperature was freezing. i would guess about 20 degrees out. visibility was excellent.

none of the above. it had flight capabilities that were astounding. it went from 10 oclock to dissapearing in the stars in about 10 seconds.

i have made it a point in my life to learn as much as possible. there are so many unexplained things out there. i did not know at the time what exactly i saw. i have seen one other unknown object since. in the state of washington which is where i now live. in both circumstances i did not know what to think untill talking to other people about it . 30,000 phone calls to local news told me i wasn't the only one to see it.

Appeared like a weather type of satellite, hovering since we moved past it, it stayed in position because the clouds all around, it would of entered the clouds as we did, if it had been moving. was silver, metallic and large, maybe as long and wide as one of the planes wings. Did not appear to have a tether or balloon above. appeared to be in a clearing in the clouds, on purpose. seemed purposeful, it was "in between" all the clouds that we were going in and out of, and the clouds were very thick that day. We were popping in and out of them.

could cover it with my hand. appeared the size of one of the planes wings. stationary, and very close considering it was a passanger shuttle jet plane landing through the clouds.

I suppose the area in NYC/NJ area has many things around it on the ground in that area. Was a bright sun, filtered, cloud diffused, natural light. no reflections off the plane or the object. could see very clearly, viewed about 3-4 seconds as we went by it. could not see the ground. puffy clouds we were going in and out of here and there in short spurts. When i saw this there were very few people on the plane and i looked back a few seats behind me and another gentleman looking out just said "yep, i saw it too".

was not a natural object. Had to be manufactured. A satellite, in normal air, with gravity, hovering, in some clear air between cloud breaks. It looked as if a satellite was hovering there.

i have always followed UFO's as an interest i have always had since boyhood. Have talked to relitives and others who believe or have thought they have seen things also. I basically think it was a manufactured object but what is strange is, it was so close to the plane that i would of thought the pilots would have attempted not to go so close to something they know about, but seemed to me they did not know it either. also it seemed like a rather large metallic object with different protrusions coming off it that there was no evidence to me of any known way to propel/hover/tether itself. why was it in a small cloud break and not half or fully in the clouds, but in a clear area. I keep an open mind on this stuff and don't try and jump to conclusions but i believe it is possible there are "others" out there. I also know we have secret projects. But until i am shaking hands with "them" then i guess i need that kind of proof. I always read what is out there, and some is good and some stuff appears bad. Wish i knew !!

I WAS ABOUT 14 OR 15YRS OLD A BUNCH OF FRIENDS AND I WERE PLAYING A GAME CALLED ROUND UP . I WENT TO HIDE ON THE ROOF OF MY APARTMENT BUILDING ONCE UP THERE I HID FOR ABOUT 4 OR 5 MINUTES WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THESE LIGHTS CAUGHT MY EYES THE UNUSUAL SHAPE OF THEM MADE ME CURIOUS I CAME OUT OF HIDING AND WALKED TOWARDS IT . While at summer camp at Ft. Chaffe, Arkansas in 1965, late night, I was inside a barrack when a friend rushed in and told me about 3 high atlitude bright lights moving in formation. When I went outside with him, he pointed to their location in the sky and I, too, started watching. It appeared as almost everyone at the base was also watching.

After about an hour of watching and listening to the reports on the radio, one of the lights broke formation and started a descent toward the base. It stopped an hovered at approximately 1000 ft. and everyone watching could see the details of the ship. It was boomarang shaped with lights all along the bottom. It stayed for about 5 minutes and then begain an ascent to rejoin the other ships. We watched a little longer and saw the ships begin to move and soon disappear.
