A bright light almost like a star but too big to be one that moved slowly up and down very suddenly then becomeing to bright to even stare at then fadeing away and comeing back 30 seconds later

about the size of 3 stars put together in the sky but when it was very bright about the size of the moon on a normal night

it is a rural new jersey nieghborhood 10mins outside philadelphia. there is a airport about 15miles away but planes ahd gone by the bright light and in no way were they compareable

I was sleeping in my girlfriends basement when i looked out her slideing glass doors to see a unusally bright light in the sky it was way to bright to be a star and it was so bright that stareing at it for more then maybe 3 seconds was impossible. I stared at it for maybe 15 minutes until it became so bright that it pretty much lit up the sky and faded away into nothing. then it came back just as bright and stayed in the sky. i then awoke my girlfriend who was laying next to me so i had another witness so i wouldent seem crazy the next day. me and her watched this light stay in the sky and fade away maybe until 630am when the sun was finally starting to come up a little bit and then it continued to stay in the sky!! which finally proved to me that it could not be a star. i would have just knocked this sighting off but when ive seen it on 4 diffrent occasions with my girlfriend and her family then i started to believe it was a ufo.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

I would say a star but in my whole life i know a star could never get that bright and fade away and it was no way compareable to a plane

On Wednesday June 16th, 2010. Meand two buddies of mine were outside enjoying the clear night sky whe we saw a red lightin th sky. At first I thought it was jupiter or mars, but my friendskept telling me it was moving. Sure enough it was. We the drove dow to the river bottoms to geta better look. The light seemed to be over the wabash river. Then whe we got down there it headed west over Illinois. The light then dimmed down from red to a white then became brightagain only it was green. Then dimmed and back to bright red. The light then started to move up and down and side side really fast like no plane that I can think of iscapible of. The light then shot of of out of viewover Illinois.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No I do not. My friends andI have a lotof knowledge on planes and the way this object moved no plane on recordhas that agilityand spped

i was driving down this street called Stewart and i noticed this bright light and around it was a blue and red light so i thought it was just an airplane and as i got closer i noticed that they red and blue lights did not flicker like the airplane lights but one light blinked then the other light and they seem to be in different spots each time and as i got closer i saw that it was motionless in the sky it was not moving like airplanes do it was just 'floating' in the sky and when it seemed that i was directly under it the blinking red light stop and the blue was a solid light like the the bright one in the middle ..

no because i have never seen an aircraft that can just sit there in the sky like that

Antioch road is a busy road in the Kansas City, Missouri suburb of Gladstone. We were stopped at the light at the busy intersection of Antioch road and Englewood road. There are no military bases or power plants in the immediate area, to my knowledge.

My mom and I were stopped at a light. Mom was driving. I looked out my window and saw a very large metallic disc hovering above a single story office building there on the corner. I called my mom's attention to it. As we watched, it noiselessly, slowly flew across the street and stopped over what at the time was the Antioch Theater. After just moments there, it whooshed off to the west and disappeared behind the houses in that area. We turned in the direction it went and looked for it, but didn't see it again.

The disc was larger than the building over which it hovered, was silver/metallic and had a row of lights around the center.

I was indifferent about UFOs before and immediately after the sighting. It was fascinating, but I didn't make anything of it until a few years later when I read Whitley Striber's book Communion. I was terrified by the book, because of what I had seen myself.

My wife and I were staying at the Marriott Hotel, 15th floor. We were talking out on the balcony looking out east over one of the Disney land Parking area. The time was about 3:30 am. The UFO suddenly appeared through a very light cloud layer. It made no noise and had an elegant movement that is different than any other aircraft. It was about 2-3 times the size of a jumbo jet. As it moved across the sky from the parking area to about where Disney land park is the white lights seems to get distorted and blurry and appeared to leave temporary trails that disappeared almost Immediately. The lights faded rapidly and the whole thing disappeared.

Not at all. Maybe a secret military craft but not traditional at all.

This thing was hanging very far away from me to the southeast...I am located in Park Ridge. At first, I thought it was Venus, it was the brightest thing I have ever seen in the sky. Even with the sun coming up...IT WAS VERY NOTICEABLE. EVEN IF PEOPLE WERE NOT LOOKING IN THAT DIRECTION WOULD BE DRAWN TO NOTICE THIS GIGANTIC OBJECT...EVEN IF IT WAS JUST VENUS. THERE HAS TO BE MORE WITNESSES...Chicago commuters on trains and subways or waiting for the train and cars heading on the Kennedy or I-90 East...with a clear view toward the SOUTHEASTwould have seen it for certain. All these folks are heading that way...stuck in traffic...THEY HAD TO HAVE SEEN THIS THING.

Oh...and aircraft were taking off in that general vicinity from O'Hare, Absolutely GIGANTIC bright light...in a perfect circle. Why was it NOT Venus? Because OUT OF NOWHERE...AFTER A FEW SECONDS...THE DAMN THING JUST ALL OF SUDDEN...VANISHED!! It did NOT fade away...or get covered by clouds...it just SHUT OFF. I waited for it to reappear, and sure enough it did...AND THEN STARTED MOVING WEST CLEAR AS DAY...IT MOVED WEST FOR ABOUT 2 SECONDS...THEN DISAPPEARED AGAIN. It is important to note that you can see it power up and there was a gigantic whoosh of a vapor trail behind it. MASSIVE VAPOR TRAIL...AND IT WENT FROM A HOVER TO MOVING WITHOUT ANY QUESTION IN MY MIND. THIS IS NOT ACCELERATED IMAGINATION. I WAS WIDE AWAKE AND I KNOW WHAT I SAW...THAT GIGANTIC THING CLEARLY MOVED WESTWARD.

I grabbed my camera and went outside hoping it was coming in this direction...I waited and waited and waited...and looked up.

There was the REAL VENUS...TINY. I am speechless right now...that was, by far the coolest thing I have ever seen. In surrounding areas SOUTHEASTof Chicago...THEY WERE EVEN CLOSER AND THE VIEW WOULD HAVE BEEN ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR...IT WAS ALMOST BLINDING BRIGHT...LIKE NOTHING I HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE.

ESPECIALLY THOSE OF YOU FROM THE SOUTHEASTSIDE OF CHICAGO...ANYONE WITH A CLEAR VIEW FROM THOSE AREAS WOULD HAVE HAD THE BEST VIEW OF IT...it was also one of the largest moving crafts I have ever seen in the sky...beyond anything normal...PLANET SIZE.

Yes, until it moved from a hover. I just thought it was an awesome view of Venus and was more than happy to just watch it...it was so cool. Then...when that gigantic thing...in a bright blue sky...just TURNED OFF suddenly...is when I thought it was WEIRD. If it was Venus, why all of a sudden would it just not be there? I never saw Venus just blink off...you can watch it FOR HOURS...stars do not blink off. Too low to be a satellite or ISS. Planes WERE taking off in that direction FROM O'HARE AND THEY HAD TO HAVE THE MOST AWESOME VIEW ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE PLANE. WHEN IT MOVED...FROM A STATIONARY POINT...I KNEW IT WAS NOT FROM THIS PLANET AT ALL.

I know that the universe is full of life and my mind is open to the idea that there are things we simply DO NOT UNDERSTAND. It is so hard to seriously have a camera ready to roll when something like this happens...so I am always skeptical, but I have never seen anything in the sky that I cannot explain until 2008. It seems to become more and more common and I have seen shoot up into the stars from a hover before. It showed me that it was not of this earth...that is what I got out of my sighting. It was observing earth. They must be so advanced, I bet how they travel...WE WOULD NOT EVEN BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND.
