While driving up north, for a weekend at my friends cottage, several friends and I saw a silver cylinder hovering on its end in the sky. Now the layout of the land is very important as it provided us with a solid visual refference during the sighting of several minutes. We were driving north on the road, it was a relatively straight and level section of road, in the distance about 2 km, the road gently turned right and the grade began to go down hill and then gently the road turns left and then straightens out on it's original trackand levels out. The reason for this curve is to navigate around a large hill.

So, we se this UFO, and we continue to drive towards it, as it appears to be "perhaps a balloon over the hill?", "an air plane, choper". But as we drive towards it the hill becomes larger in the foreground, however the "balloon" no longer seems to be hovering over the hill. You see the UFO is still farther in the distance so the perspective dictates that it's position will stay stationary relative to the hill, so the hill becomes larger as we drive towards it, but the ufo remains in the distance. Unfortunately as we reach the first right turn entering the downhill sectin of the road, we loose sight of the UFO behind the hill. After making the left turn and retuning on course north, we tried to see the UFO again but were unable to find it anywhere, including looking behind to see if it was a balloon over the hill ( which, quite frankly by this point, we all knew, "that ain't no F'ing balloon, EH!")
