Full Description & Details
I suppose I had thought of reporting this "sighting" many times over the years but hadn't a clue where to begin. Most of the time I left it buried in my past as, well, who do you tell things like this to without people thinking you're crazy? Then on December 16, 2004 at 8:00 pm I saw "UFO Invasion at Rendlesham" when something caught my ear. The UFO sightings being reported were not the typical sort. Metallic orange triangles? Well guess what! About 23 years ago I witnessed the same thing. Not in some remote woodland, but in the hub of Chicago, IL.
I was attending an outdoor concert at Grant Park. The friend that was with me saw the same thing. He remarked that it was "weird" and then seemed to just dismiss it! I must admit, I was more focused on my friend than the concert or the weird thing in the sky, so I returned my attention to him. In hindsight I don't know why I didn't call out to others around me to see what they thought of the spectacle, but I was young and afraid of embarrassing my new friend. (I was facing away from the stage, perhaps this is why I saw what many MAY not have.) Also, the thing made no noise. Although in a big city during an orchestra concert, who knows?
This was a really long time ago, but something that strange stays with you. Over the years I have told a few people about this. This is what I saw: A flat triangular object high in the sky. It was a rigid chrome-like orange object with lines, grooves or something, all straight and parallel to one of the sides and evenly spaced. There were no other markings visible.
The most peculiar thing was the way it moved. It was flip-flopping, doing somersaults in the sky. My friend and I watched it for several moments. We turned away for just a moment and when we looked up again it was gone!
The fact that some are coming forward this many years later makes me feel it is my responsibility to report this. I never assumed that it was an alien spacecraft, only something odd and unexplainable at the time. The reason I waiting so long even after seeing the show on SciFi was because my family just recently got hooked up to the internet.
I was afraid I would possibly be ridiculed for reporting this, however, if others viewed the same phenomenon as I did, it would be remiss to not admit my experience. If people are fearful of how others may perceive them, we will be robbed of potentially valuable information. Please do not use my name or email publicly. I am very curious to know if others have reported a similar incident in this area at the same time. (Or anywhere at anytime!)
Thank you for taking the time to review this report.

When I went to the SciFi websight and read about a few similar sightings I got a little shaky. It was more fun when I believed it all fiction.
