The sighting took place heading south, via automobile, from Sun Valley, Idaho, approximately 11:00am. The object was nearly at eye level from the car, viewing south. It was oblong, approximately the size of a dollar coin, if held at arms lenght, it was a bright, and shiney silver object, stationary in the sky, when we first observed it. We watched, speechless for approximately 30 secords, or more, then the object swirled, leaving almost a peasley design, smokey in color, then a glint appeared, then it was gone. We all were convinced we saw an UFO, however discussed the possibility of the military in Nevada doing some secret, or not so secret, training. That night, in the Boise area, on the news, were reports of several sightings over Salt Lake, Utah. Given this we determined the direction we were driving was certainly towards Salt Lake.
