roundish at first, then almost to the shape of a cross, then round again as it got smaller. Fairly bright, and brighter as it grew and dimmer when it got smaller. Orange in color.

maybe a 1/3 inch at first, then up to about half inch, then as it got smaller just literally miniscule to gone.

About the height of a plane's altitude. Definately not in with the star system.

Full Description & Details

Saw streaking orangish comet-like glow across sky with long "tail" glowing white in color. Tail dissappeared, object stopped cold in the sky and hovered or remained stationary. It appeared to grow in size vertically while maintining its position in the sky. Then it began to get smaller and smaller, and just disappeared. 2 seconds later, it reappeared, grew again. Stayed stationary, then just disappeared.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
