Shiny Silver cylindrical object that appeared for approximatly 2 seconds and then disappeared and approximatly 2 miles down the garden state pkwy south It appeared again for a very brief period of time and disappeared again

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

I thought it was a plane but it disappeared in perfectly clear sky.
