Appearance / Description of Object(s)

There were three dim orange lights in a triangle formation that were large, round and steady, i.e., not flashing. It made absolutely no sound. The lights were clear but dim, as if the actual light source were at the top of a cylindrical opening...like how a flashlight shining into the top of a coffee can would look when viewed from a distance at an angle that hid the flashlight. I'm not sure now if I saw a triangular outline or noticed if the space between the lights was darker or opaque.

If I held my arms out in front of me it would've taken both hands to cover it.

It was traveling south by southeast about as low, it seemed to me, as a helicopter would fly.

The craft was pretty low (by low I mean much lower than a plane...more like where a helicopter would fly) and moving fast in a straight line. There were three dim orange lights in a triangle formation that were large, round and steady, i.e., not flashing. It made absolutely no sound. The lights were clear but dim, as if the actual light source were at the top of a cylindrical opening...like how a flashlight shining into the top of a coffee can would look when viewed from a distance at an angle that hid the flashlight. I was so stunned that now I can't remember if I actually saw a triangular outline against the sky or if I just inferred it due to the triangular formation of the lights. The moon is 75 percent of full and the sky is clear.

I've never seen anything like this before. This is my first ufo sighting. It shook me up a bit.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No, not a conventional man-made object and absolutely not a natural object. Perhaps a test craft? A military craft?

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

I know what everyone knows, that people see unidentified flying objects in the sky and that they are usually easily explainable...natural phenomenon or conventional man-made object. I've never seen anything like this.
