Full Description & Details

We came home from an evening out to dinner. We lived in the country at the time. It was a very dark area. NOt many houses in the area and being late at night,no lights were on at the houses on our stretch of country road. We pulled in our lane to drive back to our small home located at the back of an apple orchard. Suddenly, my husband notice a very bright light coming from the east racing to the west. He pointed it out to me,however I had already noticed it due to the speed of the object. We sat in the car and watched. AT first we thought it was a metor with a very bright trail behind it,but ,it suddenly turned completely around and returned to the east again just as quickly as it came from that direction. There was no sound at all. The episode lasted around 3 mins. all total. My husband asked me what I just saw and my reply was the same as his. We just didn't know what is was we saw at the time. I do know the hair stood up on my neck and we rushed into the house very upset. To this day , we still wonder what we saw and do not have any anwers.

I live near an airforce base and wondered if this was a factor. However, at the time, this was not a thought. I just know that we have heard from relatives and friends of other sightings in this area. Some had explanations,but, others did not.
