it was in the middle of the war, the nazis were bombing london everyday and night by this point. Myself and my friends piper and emery were on night watch for one of many hospitals that had been set up for the injured and shocked. We were talking about marriage when a green flashing light appeared so far in the distance that we had to squint to see. It would flash, then get close, then flash again, and get closer still. We confused it for a nazi with a torch and so grabbed our guns and shot like hunters in spring. The light then grew to humongus limits, turning redder and redder by the second. We carried on shooting, but piper collapsed, it was just myself and emery left to shoot down the light. There was a HUGE flash of bright white light and the light was gone. To this day we have never seen anything so strange.
