4 of us were playing canasta(all sober)when a radio report said a person had reported to a local radio station 1xx in a town called WHAKATANE about 25 minutes drive away,saying they had seen a ufo coming in horozontal from the sea,that it was heading inland ,in the direction of Kawerau,my home town,where we were playing cards.

AT THE VERY MOMENT I STOOD UP TO TAKE a stretch two things happened,first all the electricity went out all over town,came back on after about 30 minutes,and secondly with everything so dark(and i still standing) i just happened to look out the window which was a long sloping one ,going up to the apex,thats when i saw this object coming down to what appeared as if it had collided with our extinct volcano just outside of town.this volcano is named MT.Edcumbe,MAYBE 2.000 FEET HIGH.

The way it was falling it sure looked like it hit MT.Edgecumbe,though ,i never heard any sounds at all of any impact.

i had read a book afew years earlier written by a Captan Bruce Cathy called harmonica

695?,he had seen several ufo sightings when an airline pilot in New Zealand,

he had a theory about earth having a grid system which many thousands of years agowhich had been damaged,and the aliens were helping to repair it,alot of these grid points,acccording to Cathys book were on/in volcanos,i thought maybe this was something arriving to restore it?.

The radio announcer asked for any persons having sighted this ufo to call in,afew people did ,myself included.i was the only one of our group who saw this ufo,i wasstandind up, my wife & 2 friends remained seated.a very interesting evening.
