Driving down the freeway, my wife and I spotted a huge, long light in the sky. At first we though it must be a plane reflecting the sun and then we thought it was a meteor or commet. As we continued to watch the light we noticed several other planes in the sky at various altitudes. This light was 10 - 15 times the size of the planes we saw and moving much quicker. The light descended rapidly, on a dime. No conventional aircraft could ever move like this. The object was like a long line of bright light with no real discernable edges to it. The object continued across the horizon at a slower pace (than when it descended) and after about 5 minutes was out of our view. I've never seen anything like this.
