Full Description & Details

At first I thought it was an airplane with its lights on approching MAS Miramar from the east, but it stayed in the same location for 10 minutes ( I timed it ). Then I thought it was a helicopter with its lights on hovering in the same locationbut at a good distance, but I remembered reading somwhare that it takes lots of energyfor heliocopters to hover for so long a period. I thought it was very odd. that it didnt move. As I continued my observation it started to fade out but, reapeared instantly about 20 deg. south of its previous location. It was then that I thought " Aircraft don't do that"

At this point I continued to wach it using the tree line as a referance point. To my surprise I saw two more appear ( same small dot shape ) in formation with the first one. They then moved 90 deg to the horizon in formation, fading in and out as they went over head....after that they faded away.

Other Comments

I thougt at first it was a military aircraft comming in for landing or doing tuch n Gos.It was about a week befor the local airshow so, I figured it was somthing to do with that. Even after it didn't move I figured "a helicopter" with landing lights that are on, but it didn't add up metalic/ shiny and not moving. Once I saw it blink off and and reapear then I knew it was not ours.
