Full Description & Details

In 1992, I was traveling to my home in Wauwatosa, a suburb of Milwaukee. I was driving on I-45, a heavily trafficked 6 lane freeway. I was approximately two miles from my house, approaching the Burleigh Street exit, when I noticed what I thought were three extremely low flying helicopters in a triangular formation just west of the freeway. They were literally only 200 feet above a group of industrial buildings (a JC Penny warehouse and the Briggs & Stratton plant). Another odd aspect was the fact that "helicopters" were barely moving, not hovering per se, but moving at a speed of perhaps five miles an hour. They also flew in a precise triangular formation. I rolled down the window of my car to listen to see if they indeed were helicopters, but there was absolutely no sound. I continued to watch the formation as I headed north to the Capitol Drive exit. Upon being roughly parallel with the objects, I noticed that I could not see the sky behind the objects (it was an overcast night, and the clouds are somewhat illuminated by city lights, and in fact it seemed it was a huge triangular object. I stress huge. Perhaps 100 to 150 yards on all sides. As I exited the highway on Capitol Drive, I turned over my shoulder once again to view the object, but it had completely disapppeared.

I always thought of it as an odd event. I've always been curious about UFOs, but never really thought I'd see one. This incident didn't fit my traditional view of a UFO sighting (dark country road, glowing lights in the sky, etc.) It was in a well-populated area, in the early evening. A week or so later, the NBC affiliate in Milwaukee broadcast a story on people in Waukesha county (directly west of Milwaukee) who had reported seeing large black triangular UFOs in broad daylight. I thought, hmmm, that's what I saw.

The only reason I'm filing this report is because upon visiting the ufoevidence site a few days ago, I couldn't believe the number of sightings of exactly what I saw. I had the experience, I can't explain it, but it did happen. I'd like it added to the mounting number of sightings.
