Full Description & Details

I live on the open bay in south Tampa off of Westshore blvd. I was sitting in my back yard talking with a friend (no alcohol involved). We were laying down looking up at the sky talking, when I saw two lights from a "plane" moving in "right to left" horizontal direction. I didn't think anything of it, I just watched it figuring it was a plane (the airport isn't far). Then it just stopped moving and stood still for about 30 seconds. This got my attention, but I then figured it was a helicopter. I stared at the lights wondering why it was hovering in one spot. Then all of the sudden it flew off so fast in a diagonal left, but up ward direction as fast as a shooting star. I was is shock, it was so unusual. I have lived there for four years and never scene anything like this. I have seen shooting stars and planes, but nothing remotely close to this. I am a very skeptical person, but I do believe something is strange is out there now. My friend who saw it with me is in the same boat as me. We have sat out there a few times together hoping to see something like it again, but neither of us have. Guess it's a once in a life time thing. By the way, it was too dark and the object was too far to see the shape, but it was way to close to be a satelite or anything of that nature.
