North West of Riyadh Saudi Arabia

In summer of 1973, my father and his friends and their kids went camping in the middle of the Saudi desert about 200 kilometers north west of Riyadh. Before the sunset, I remember my father talking about being very isolated and too far from nomads. In the middle of the night I needed to go to the bathroom which was basically the wide open desert. I took a little bucket of water to clean up, and walked away from our tent looking for a bush or large stone. Suddenly I heard people talking from a distance or whispering. I couldn't see them very clearly, but I saw some kind of light swinging back and forth. I stood up watching and wondering where my father's friends are going. I walked towards them. Then I saw what seemed as a faraway shiny car. I could not see the whole car. The men got inside the car, and the car start moving away without any sound. It was moving slowly and elevating gradually as if it was riding a hill. I did my business and went back to sleep next to my father. After couple of hours we woke up for the dawn time prayer. Surprisingly, I saw my father's friends with us. After the prayer I told my father about them men, and he told his friends. They took their guns and went to investigate. My remains and tracks gave them clues where to look. They could not find a trace of those people or the car. The desert was flat and no hills around. Tracks stay on the dirt dessert for hours, but the searching party could not find anything. Their interpretation was that those people were "jinn", a race of invisible creature Moslems believe in. But that does not explain the car.

I'm 45 years old now, have a doctorate degree in science. I can not find a reasonable explanation to that instance. Since then, I've visited the place several times. It is neither near any military bases nor oil refineries. There is nothing important in that region.
