I didn't know the 2 girls ( 1 SLIGHTLY). Girl I didn't know at all was called DEBBIE. HOWIE, BEING FUNNY, KEPT CALLING HER DOOBIE.My good friend Howie Appletoff, a rock drummer at Bowne HS, I think, who lived in my later girlfriend's ( Joanne' KAZ'UKO GREENSPAN ) building in the RAVENSWOOD PUBLIC HOUSING in L.I.C. QUEENS, introduced me to them. We were cutting school. Walking on fairly sunny street, something caught my attention while the 3 of them were jabbering.Up and across the street near the corner of the building, in the sky, i saw an object. For some reason, excitedly, I said something in a loud but hoarse stage whisper akin to,' Nobody say anything; don't say what you see!' And directed thier attention up at corner of building. 'SHUT UP AND KEEP LOOKING.'Object was moving SW I think. Met with bigger object and others, very high, very far but VERY CLEAR. Formed circle around bigger object, dashing to and fro, from it. Up and down, ALL REVOLVING, ALL HAD LIGHTS. MIDDLE ONE HAD 'glass' bubble on top. Humanoid figure in it, not clear...portals- 1, MAYBE 2 OTHER figures...movement slightly fluttery, rocking almost Ballet-Like. Circle in-out...SUDDENLY middle one ( MIGHT OF BEEN CIGAR-SHAPED) shoots 'up' ,others shoot away so fast, all almost like they're invisible! BUT THEY WEREN'T. We tried to recount after short silence, 1 by 1 but were too excited. WITH SMALL DIFFERENCES ( color, sequence, location of lights), we four teens saw the same thing. Because of hooky and because everyone would say we were insane; we vowed NEVER to speak about this. I saw the one semi-familiar girl, ELLEN with HOWIE once or twice after THIS. I saw him, off and on; here and there, sporadically after that day. WE NEVER SPOKE OF THAT EPISODE AGAIN. member it. A day or two later, in a small newspaper ( Long Island Journal American or something like that; it is now shut down), in the general direction-SW- In Huntington or Farmingdale, L.I. HUNDREDS HAD SEEN SOMETHING SIMILIAR. I traced the direction on a map and it seemed to be the same incident. I STILL THINK ABOUT IT.

I was telling my drunken brother about this the night before last and he dryly yet none too subtly tried to ridicule me. I am stone cold ( WAY OVER A DECADE) sober. Super clean and a SERIOUS '12 Stepper.' What I tell you, you can take to the bank. I don't know WHAT those things were, but they were VERY UNUSUAL. I CAN tell you that my brother is a common garden variety drunk. THIS MUCH, I KNOW!
