Hamilton, were I live is only about 40 miles down the road from Toronto. In the weeks that followed 9/11, jet fighters would roared over us every hour, as they covered air space to protect Toronto and the CN tower. We became used to them. One sunny autumn day, I was walking the Bruce Trail which is very close to my house, and runs along the heavly wooded Niagara Escarpment. I was about to come out of the higher trail onto the bike path. When I saw above me, what I thouht was a fighter jet. It was as I describe above. Black, arrow shaped, with two bullet shaped things attached to the underside. I could see someone in the clear dome, like a fighter jet would have, on top of the plane. They wore, what looked to be a white flght suit and helmet. They were looking down on the trees and I thouht. "This man, who must fly back and forth all day, in this awful time. Has stop to appreciate the fall colours of the trees." I felt I could feel what he was thinking. By the time I reached the bike path. A few yards away, the plane was gone. It was weeks later, as I told a friend of the "Nice thing I had saw" I realized, that the fighter jet I had seen, had made no sound. It hung just above the trees. But I heard nothing. There were other people on the bike path below me. I could hear them talking, but not the sound of this huge fighter jet. And I didn't see or hear it leave. Wouldn't a jet of that size make a noise? Standing still like that, or at lest taking off?

I am a 50 year old grandmother. I have an collage education. I have had several small business. I'm a artist, recording musicain and poet. I am very well known in the community. I have live in this part of Hamilton for 30 years. I raised my three boys here and have often walked that path were I wittness this. My grandchild and I now walk the same path I saw this on. I have never seen anything like that before or since.
