Full Description & Details

In 1998 I was going through divorce and took up serious astronomy for my mindset. Every

astronomer knows to get your nightvision and get away from reflective light. at 2a.m. that

morning of the event, I had perfect conditions and was outside with the telescope when

this movement out of the sky jerked my sight from the eyepiece and consumed my field

of view at about 25 degrees high..My nightvision was adjusted and for about 30 seconds

I saw a black triangle decend from about a hundred feet to below my sightline no more than

35 yards away from me. It seemed to simply float down on the same 25 degree angle and

drop into a gorge directly behind my house. It was totally non-reflective and cast no moonlight

reflection .It was 35 to 40 feet wide and absolutely 0 silent.. It had no lights,and It dropped

out of sight at eye level. I knew that it was not a hanglider or parachute; It was too solid.

I waited until daylight to investigate but I found nothing but a military transport at the top of the gorge. I Did not hang around. I do not know what it was, but I know what it was not.

I just bought a digital camera to keep with me while I am stargazing. I would like to hear more

about sightings from dekalb county and center hill lake.
