Full Description & Details

I was driving home from work in Charlottesville, coming over Afton mountain on I64 heading to Waynesboro Virginia. When I was nearing top of mountain I noticed 5 contrails heading toward eachother from different directions. They were at such a height that I could only see the contrails, no planes. I thought they were going to hit eachother, one of them changed course & went around the area the other 4 were headed. when the planes/contrails got closer together, I noticed a small round metallic looking object about the size of a half a dime. It was moving really slow, almost hovering without a contrail. the sun was setting & the round object shimmered light a couple times, looked like the sun shining off of it. As I was going down the mountain, I lost sight of everything, the mountain was blocking my view. When I could see the area of sky again, the round object was gone & the planes/jets/contrails were leaving the area, flying along the blue ridge mountains heading south. The contrails were flying in 2 seperate pairs in formation leaving the area. the contrail that changed course right before the round object sighting looked like it got back on it's original flight path. The planes were at a height that I could only see the contrail, if the round object was at the same height, it had to be larger than the planes, because it was visible.
