In the early 1970's my wife and I were traveling eastbound on Hwy 24 towards Moberly Missouri. Our volkswagen stalled at the top of a hill and rolled down the other side. we saw several cars pulled over with people outside their cars looking and pointing at the spherical object. In an instant, the object was gone with no noise. It had just kind of like a whishing noise to it as it blinked out of site from a dead stop.

This was the weird part. Noone spoke to each other to exchange responses as we remembered. Everyone just got quickly back in their cars and drove off. Furthermore, my wife and I forgot all about it until the early 1980's, say 1981 or 1982. When we did remember the siting, it was instantaneous. We both had the same idea and remembered the siting at the same time and started talking about it. Prior to that, we had no recollection of the siting.
