Distance to Object(s) & Altitude1mile or less Shape of Object(s)spherical, round Color of Object(s):drk red Full Description & DetailsMy wife and I attended a family wedding in Mt Laguna on the 28th of May. We left Monday morning headed north for San Jose. About 1:00-1:30, we decided to stop and eat lunch at the Lake. there were about 300 people there having the tradional BarBQ for Memorial weekend. We sat under a palm tree looking over the lake. As we were eating I noticed above the mountain ridge a red Ball or Balloon about an inch above the ridge. My first thought was some one lost a balloon. I turned to my wife and said,"Honey, look. Someone lost a balloon. As I watched it for about 20 seconds, I noticed it wasn't moving. At All. I told my wife, "thats not a balloon...What is that?". I grabbed my digital vdeo camera and looked atthe object through the viewfinder with the zoom lens. It has a 900X zoom. It was a round , red, NOT glowing, in fact dull, object that was just hanging in the air. I know that Helium gas Balloons always go up and drift side to side with the air currunts. This thing just stood there .Then it it started to descend . It moved very slowly and appeard to follow the slope of the mountain. It didn't just go straight up and down. At that moment I realized I was holding a camera. I took a picture of it at full zoom, so it was a little shakey, just before it started to go up and to the right, but still visiable. The camera was set on single shots, so I brought the camera down thinking I should be shooting this in Video so people can see how it was moving. I put it on video, brought the camera back to my eye and it was gone.I imeadiately took a full sweep of the entire Lake, thinking "IT" must be here somewhere, it's only been a few seconds. It must be here, I'm just not seeing it. When I got home and downloaded the pictures, there was no sign of the object in the panaramic picture of the lake. How could this object have left the area in a few seconds?..I don't know if anyone else saw it.I didn't ask. No. My wife says she knew I was excited about something, but didn't see anything. ..But I did get a picture.
