It was about 8:45 PM on April 29, 2005. My hired hand and myself were resting on the back of my one ton flat bed truck after a long day of work on my farm. We were noticing a very normal light with a very unusual "wake" as it traveled across the sky from southeast to northwest. The wake (as opposed to a contrail) was shaped like the wake of a boat or a football. We sat there for about 5 minutes watching and talking about what a strange trail this moving light was producing. Suddenly the light exploded like nothing I have ever seen before. Truely amazing. The explosion was like something out of Star Wars! Please understand, this was the most amazing phenomina I have ever witnessed in my life. The explosion was BIG, VERY BIG! It all seemed to occur at around 30 - 60,000 feet. It's hard to guess an altitude but it was very high yet certainly in our atmosphere.

Two white lights appeared out of the explosion and continued on the same course as the first white light. The two white lights, one following the other, continued on, what looked like, the same course as the original single light. These two lights differed as the front light was brighter and traveled faster. We watched both lights disappear over the horizon.

I really want to know what this was. I would appeciate contact with anyone seeing the same occurance. I have found two other witnesses ( and man and his daughter)
