Size of Object(s)body 70 ft, wingspan 50 ft Distance to Object(s) & Altitudeapprox. 1500 feet when I spoted it Shape of Object(s)fuselage and wing design Color of Object(s):silver, no markings Full Description & DetailsThis object really caught my attention for two reasons. 1, it was silent. 2, it did not match any aircraft type that I knew. I grew up on air force bases and as a young man at the time could identify by make model and nature of service, every aircraft in the US inventory, military and civilian. My friends and I grew up watching airplanes and going to airshows. This object had a dual cylinder type fuselage and a straight fixed wing at midbody. The item that REALLY caught my attention was that it had NO rear verticle oir horizontal stabilizers. It flew at approx. 300 mph in a straight line for approx. 6 milies before it was out of visual range. It had no exhaust trail. There were no other aircraft in the area. I can draw a sketch of it as clearly as if I saw the object yesterday. Witness BackgroundAs I stated, I grew up on Air Force bases, was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard at the time of the sighting. I am now a retired Firefighter. Reported Sighting?NoYour Location:Lusby, Md. USAAge:50 |
