It was hiding behind a cotton wood tree. It kept it's margins behind the tree. When I first saw it I asked my visiting friend "Lorna! Do you see that"!? Oh, yeah. I thought it was a yard light. (She lives near Olympia, WA). I walked closer. Almost as if it sensed my approach, it began it's descent, skrinking in size and in about 10 - 15 seconds, disappeared into the ground. I feel it was a gift - that I got to see it.

This was in Trout Lake Valley (Zip 98650) 17 miles south of the top of Mt. Adams. An area of NUMEROUS sightings.
