Appearance / Description of Object(s)The object(s) were fuzzy, glowing balls of light. Size of Object(s)The object(s) were bigger than stars but smaller than the moon, somewhat smaller than a fingernail held at arm's length. The objects may have been several feet in true size. Description of Area / SurroundingsRural, over water near shoreline, near military base Full Description & DetailsMy brother, mother, father and I were at a remote cabin on the shore of Hood Canal in the evening. We all observed a white ball of light slowly moving maybe a mile away. The one ball of light divided, or morphed, into aproximately 8 other balls of light of different colors which performed somewhat geometric maneuvers for about 20 minutes before reuniting back into one ball of light, then disappearing. Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object? No possible conventional explanation, because the object divided into multiple objects without diminishing in size. Witness BackgroundBoeing engineer, retired. Degree form University of Washington. Views on UFOs, before and after sightingAt the time I thought UFOs came from distant planets, but now I think they are native to Earth but of an unknown nature. I was only about 12 at the time of the sighting and had seen, but not read, George Adamski's book. Other CommentsWere were deeply impressed by the sighting at the time, but shortly afterwards we stopped speaking of it, and didn't speak of it again for several years.
