Had the appearance of the moon shining through a light cloud cover. However, the moon was visible at this time in the southern sky.

Rural interstate. Site is roughly 75 miles from Offut

Full Description & Details

Object initially noted for roughly 3 minutes in high eastern sky. Noted an aircraft approaching from the north. As it was nearing general site, object disappeared. Next noted about one minute later higher in the eastern sky. Remained there for about one minute, then disappeared. Light from object was constant, no blinking. Noted on I-80 near Shelby, Iowa exit at approximately 9:00 pm CDT.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

no - item was too large to be a conventional aircraft; although it had a "moon-like" appearance, moon also visible in a different location in sky

No change. I believe it is possible that some sightings could be of "machinery" from other worlds.
