While I was driving through the army range in builth wells, I spotted something in the sky it caught my eye because it was shiny like a mirror, as I got closer to it I noticed its shape it was a triangular object with a dark underside I knew it was not a conventional aircraft it was in a stationary position just hovering there was no sound and it seemed to be distorting the air around it like generating some sort of field I would say it was at about a 1000m high and about a 1/2 a mile away from me.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

the sky was clear of any planes or clouds
