100 feet from my home. Over the tops of some trees, possibly 35 feet in the air.

It was an urban area, lots of trees. A nuclear power plant is approximately 25 miles away. Keowee Toxaway Duke Power Plant.

I remember my brother jerking me out of the house telling me it was going to crash into us. I looked up and saw an object hovering in the sky, motionless, lights were on the bottom of the craft. Then it took off and was gone in an instant. My Grandmother called someone in the Government and they sent someone to investigate. I was probably only around eleven years old , but I recall them telling her that the tops of the trees were scorched. The trees were in the area that the UFO was hovering over.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No, it was to quiet to be anything manmade, and was super quick

I know that my experience was something that was unexplainable. I believe in God, so who am I to say that we are the only God made creatures in the universe.
