Late 1980's i was in my parents back garden in Nottinghamshire, England. My brother and his friend were also there but where not looking skyward at this moment. I saw two large ovals of orange light fly above the scattered cloud layer one slightly behind the other and to the side. They spanned the entire sky in a few seconds so i could not point them out to my colleagues. The same objects were reported in the local papers a few days later - seen hovering over a local village and shooting off rapidly. They were far too large, fast and bizarre to be anything man made. I have been deeply fascinated by the phenomena since.
