Walmar Parking lot, where I stood. To the south east is Fort Wainrwright, Further down toward North Pole is Eielson Air Force base. SouthWest of Wal~Mart is Fairbanks Airport.

Full Description & Details

I and another employee of Wal~Mart observed a cluster of white lights moving slowly in the air south of the parking lot. It appeared to be moving as if it was one object. We kept looking at it but glanced away. After several glances Chris asked me what that object was. I told him I did not know. After talking about it we noticed that it was not an airplane. It was moving too slowly to be getting ready to land at an Air Port. I assumed that if it left the area in a few minutes that it must be some kind of conventional aircraft that was just moving slowly. I was tired from working all day long and realized that I might not be thinking straight.

After waiting about 15 minutes we noticed that it was still there and has stopped and was stationary. It seemed too big to be a conventional aircraft but I kept trying to convince myself that it was something normal. Upon driving home, south, I continued to observe the object. I was curious and wanted to drive underneath it to see how large it was. However, I was also dog tired from work and wanted to get some sleep.

I drove from the Wal~Mart Parking lot to my appartment on 7th and Noble watching it all of the way. I went upstairs into my appartment and out on the back deck to observe the top of it above and behind the bank building south of the Appartment.

I do not know how large it was. It was a dark night sky and all that could be seen were the balls of white lights.

I was so tired that I asusmed I would see it in the morning and went to sleep.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

Maybe it was a Blimp. But I can't figure out how it could be staying stationary like that.

Father was an Air Force Officer in Intelligence who briefed the president on situations during the vietnam era. I have a Geography B.A. Degree, Minor in Art. Other schooling. I have no oninion yet on UFO's however I have read a few documents by accident that were in fathers briefcase. I was young then and did not understand the need for secrecy.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

I am avidly researching them. I was unsure if they were real. Even though I researched them, I was in a limbo between unsure to pursue this subject and drop it or plunge myself in it's reality. Now I believe that we are being visited by other beings in this universe.

Other Comments

I am open to the possibility that I might have imagined it. However, given the fact that there were two witnesses I don't think it was imaginary. If I tried to make a drawing it would not be very accurate but will send one to you if you ask me to.
