what ever it was, it was in a v shape with only lights visable i remember the colors being red or white, nothing else was visable and i had a better view than most people.

from one side of the v to the other was probably a couple of hundred feet

the object was coming up the hudson river from the bronx ( WEST POINT, INDIAN POINT POWER PLANT

I WAS ABOUT 14 OR 15YRS OLD A BUNCH OF FRIENDS AND I WERE PLAYING A GAME CALLED ROUND UP . I WENT TO HIDE ON THE ROOF OF MY APARTMENT BUILDING ONCE UP THERE I HID FOR ABOUT 4 OR 5 MINUTES WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THESE LIGHTS CAUGHT MY EYES THE UNUSUAL SHAPE OF THEM MADE ME CURIOUS I CAME OUT OF HIDING AND WALKED TOWARDS IT . I STOPPED JUST SHORT OF THE EDGE .I TRYED TO LISTEN FOR ENGINES THERE WAS NO SOUND FOR SOME REASON IT SEEMED ALOT BIGGER THAN THE LIGHTS THAT WERE VISABLE I WAS STAREING AT IT INTENSELY TRYING TO SEE SOME KIND OF BODY TO THE LIGHTS WHEN I COULD SEE NONE MY MIND STARTED RACING FOR ANSWERS I BECAME SCARED AND FRIGHTEND AND AT THAT MOMENT THE LIGHTS JUST STOPPED MOVING( THEY WERE MOVING NORTH UP THE HUDSON RIVER VERY SLOW MAYBE 10 OR 20 MPH ) I FELT LIKE THE IT COULD SEE ME AND HEAR MY THOUGTS THEN I HAD THIS CREEPY FEELING THAT SOMEONE WAS COMING UP BEHIND ME WHEN I TURNED AROUND NOBODY WAS THERE I TURNED BACK AROUND IN 2 OR 3 SECONDS AND IT WAS GONE I WAS STANDING ON THE ROOF OF A 6 STORY BUILDING OVER LOOKING THE RIVER I COULD SEE THE GEORGE WASHINTONG BRIDGE TO MY SOUTH AND THE TAPPAN ZEE BRIDGE TO MY NORTH A DISTANCE OF 20MILES THE THING EITHER TOOK OFF VERY FAST OR THE LIGHTS JUST SHUT OFF BECAUSE I COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE LIGHTS ANY WAY.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

NO BECAUSE IT WAS MOVING TO SLOW AND IT WAS MAKING NO NOISE WHAT SO EVER IT WAS A VERY QUIET NIGHT I COULD NOT MAKE OUT ANY THING OTHER THAN THE LIGHTS AND IT WAS NOT A CLOUID IN THE SKY.
