UFO Sighting Report

Summary:
Myself and my three girls were returing from Knoxville tn to Kingston when I saw something that I had never seen. The object was about the same altitude of a jet plane. It was a round object, and I thought it might have been a helicopter but I saw instead of moving in any one direction , it hovered motionless as the same altitude and this round object had lights all along the outer edge of the sphere. I watched for maybe 3-4 min. and was suprised when this object did not fly in any direction,but suddenly it were though it was just pulled straight up in the same place it had been hovering.To this day I have wondered what did I know about a vehicle that could go strait up and out of sight. I have had one person tell me not to tell this sighting, said people would thing I had lost some marbles, but I really saw it .I was not one to beleive in ufos until that night, I have never seen anything like it againit again. But it really happened and I was struck with awe.

Appearance / Description of Object(s)Object was round and all I could see were the bright lights that circled the outer edge, the lights were bright enough to see even though they were up so high in the sky. Size of Object(s)size was probably larger than any flying object I'd ever seen. It was probably 40 feet in diameter. It is hard for me to be accurate because of it's long distance from the earth. Description of Area / SurroundingsThe area I was traveling in was a rural area between knoxville and and Kinston tn, I was near Oak Ridge Tn national laboratory, this area had been the place that developed the first atomic bomb, there are no airplanes allowed within 5 miles from this area. The object was just outside the no fly zone of ORNL, This was in the middle of a very rual area the interstate was the only thing that was there. r t the Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?No I don,t think that this sighting could be anything conventional, It moved in only one direction when I saw it, And it ascended upward fast because I couldn"t see it anymore after about 3 seconds when it started upward. I had a strange feeling that when I saw this object it were if it knew that I was watching and disappeared so quickly, Witness BackgroundI am a pharmacist In a small town in Tennessee,I have been for the las 30 years, Views on UFOs, before and after sightingI know nothing abouth ufos other than what I saw. I am not a ufo maniac, I'm a professional in the medical field and pretty well thought up to that point ufos were probably explainable, I did see a ufo,I can remember as if were yesterday because it was the unkown.
