UFO Sighting Report

Date:

January, 15, 2006

Location:

northeast of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, United States

Summary:

Saw multiple bright and/or colored lights which appeared to hover over an area northeast of us, we also saw smaller lights that changed directions in seconds. They stayed over the location for at least fifteen to twenty minutes, approx. 8 - 8:30 pm, clear sky, full moon, could see stars clearly. Numerous (6 - 10) airplanes, all approaching from same western direction appeared to head towards these lights of varying intensities.

Date Reported:

1/16/2006 8:53:24 AM

Sighting Time:

8:30 pm

Day/Night:

Nighttime

No. of Witnesses:

2

Duration:

fifteen - twenty minutes

Appearance / Description of Object(s)

There was no discernable shapes to the crafts themselves. There was one main extremely bright light, and two or three slightly smaller, less bright lights, and quite a few of the smaller objects. Sometimes they moved with great speed, making very sharp turns, the lights appearing to turn on and off and dart about and changed colors from an extremely bright regular light to reddish, orange, yellow smaller lights.

Size of Object(s)

The brightest lights and the "babies" could be covered by 3 or 4 fingers, we had no way to tell their size at all. The bright lights were significantly larger than the smaller, colored and white lights.

Description of Area / Surroundings

Where we live is sort of rural, but the vehicles appeared to be heading northeast towards New York and New Jersey. No special features that I know of.

Full Description & Details

Our description of these events: my husband and I saw a light which grew brighter and then faded back in intensity, then the lights moved rapidly up and down and from side to side. There was one light that looked like it was shooting out little lights which hovered and also moved eradically . There was always one main light; but there were numerous other lights around it that would pulse and disappear and then come right back. There were approximately two or three lights that were the brightest which also moved among the smaller lights. The lights also changed colors and would wink off and on. As we watched the main lights over a period of about fifteen to twenty minutes, about ten airplanes seemed, coincidentally, to come from a westerly direction and flew in a straight flight path toward the lights. At times it almost appeared that the lights were "dancing" turning off and on, rapidly changing speeds and directions; there were several extremely bright lights, but they did not stay in one place. All the lights were brighter than anything we have ever seen, including airplane landing lights. The main light would turn off momentarily, and would turn on a few seconds later to the exact same spot it had been in. There were lights that changed colors from an extremely bright regular light to reddish, orange, yellow smaller lights. The main light would also blink as it lowered in the sky a bit, then went dark, and turned up back in the spot it had been in originally. We could not determine whether there was any interaction with the lights and all the airplanes that happened to be flying in that direction.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No way!

Witness Background

I was employed as a systems librarian (handling all aspects of any computers in the building) and training staff to use software; I also did payroll, statistics, all financial reports, accounts payable, staff scheduling, and I also did reference work one night per week and one Saturday per month.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

It is entirely possible that life other than that on this planet must exist in the universe because God doesn't seem to waste anything, especially a universe just for one tiney planet. We've read a bit about UFOs, and must confess to watching X Files.
