Appearance / Description of Object(s)

At first we thought it was a helecopter. But the lights and lack of sound drew our attention. It was roughly 25 feet long and lights rotated around it's center. The lights prohibited our view of the body and we could only see dark space between the lights. It moved like a helecopter until it shot off like a silent bullet.

I think it was about 25 feet long, but I could only see lights and shadow. The lights had no pattern, like an airplane has.

Distance to Object(s) & Altitude

At my last view, the object was 120 yards away and 200 feet up. The object made no sound.

It was suburban.

A friend and I were driving in a jeep one fall evening, in Southern Chester County,Pa. We noticed a strange light in the sky and followed it via winding country roads to a dominant hill, above a small housing developement. We watched an object hover roughly 200 feet above the developement for fifteen minutes. We couldn't see the body, but we could see lights rotating around a dark object, roughly the size of a tank. The lights didn't have a patern, and seemed to change color randomly. But the lights did seem to rotate around the center. We heard no sound, although we eventually got within 100 yards. It took off from a slow hover to amazing speed in an instant. It still never made a sound as we watched it fly to the horizen and disapear.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

No.

Views on UFOs, before and after sighting

I never cared or believed before. Now I believe, but who can I tell who won't think I was crazy? My friend won't talk about it with anyone but me.

Other Comments

I have never been near any aircraft that was in operation, that made so little or no noise. As facinated as we were, neither one of us tried to get close to it on foot. I did not think I was afraid at the time, but I never felt like I wanted to get too close.
